"He called me daddy Amanda" I whispered into my phone as I paced around the kitchen. I stopped for a split second to peek into the living room to make sure Ezra was still asleep before I started pacing again.
"I heard you the first million times Trevaughn"
It felt so weird to me hearing her say Trevaughn, nobody ever uses my full name anymore. I'm so used to being called just Trey now.
"Don't do that" I mumbled. "Trey I just want you to calm down. It's not that big of a deal" She said. I could almost hear her shrugging.
"It's a very big deal Amanda" I whisper-yelled. "I haven't even officially become his caregiver yet" I told her. There was an underlining sadness in my voice.
Ezra never gave me an explanation as to why he ran away when I told him I wanted him to be my little. At first, I was thinking it maybe had something to do with the fact that he didn't like me enough for me to be his caregiver despite how he was acting earlier in the day.
But my mind was completely changed once I heard him call me daddy as he drifted off to sleep.
Who knows if he even knew he was saying it.
What if he didn't even mean to say it.
There was so many things going through my mind and I wasn't sure what to believe.
"Trevaughn!" I hear yelled in my ear causing me to snap out of my thoughts. "Are you listening?"
"N-No. Sorry" I scratch the back of my neck as I sit down for the first time since Ezra fell asleep 10 minutes ago. I put my forehead down against the table and sighed. "Trey. I don't know why you're stressing yourself out" She said. "He clearly likes you and wants you to take care of him"
"If that's the case then why didn't he give me an answer last night?" I asked quietly. "That's a question you have to ask Ezra" She told me.
After she finished talking, I could hear someone talking to her in the background. "Hey. I have to go. I'm wishing you luck with Ezra" She said quickly.
"Okay... Bye" I said. She quickly said bye back before hanging up and leaving me alone with my thoughts.
I got up from where I was sitting at the dining table and went back the living room.
Ezra was laying on the couch with his stuffed Lion--Leon--clutched closely to his chest. There was a small amount of drool running down the side of his face causing me to smile.
He looked adorable.
I started to further imagine what it would be like having him as my little.
Being able to take him on trips to the Zoo, the Aquarium, maybe even Disney World. The possibilities were endless and I would do any and everything to make sure that Ezra was happy.
All I could do was hope he would agree to be my little.
I sat on the floor next to him and started to run my fingers through his hair. I stopped instantly when he started to stir and move around.
"Daddy" He mumbled in his sleep, turning on his side. He was now completely facing me as his eyes began to flutter open. "Shh. It's okay little one" I whispered to him. "...Daddy's here" I said hesitantly. "Go back to sleep baby"
Ezra whined and started to reach for me with his eyes closed.
I pulled him to me then stood up to sit on the couch with him in my lap. He laid his head on my shoulder and cuddled closer to me, gripping the front of my shirt as I rubbed his back.
By now, Leon was probably the farthest thing from his mind given the fact that the poor stuffed Lion was now laying at my feet.
Ezra sat up in my lap and started to rub his eyes. His nap wasn't even close to 30 minutes.
"Did you have a nice nap baby?" I asked as I brushed his hair away from his eyes. He nodded then laid his head back on my shoulder. "Still tired?"
I felt him nod against my shoulder causing me to chuckle.
"Daddy?" I hear him whisper hesitantly.
I could totally get used to this. "Yes, little one?"
"Ezzy go back to sleep?" He asked me. "Yes baby, Ezzy can go back to sleep"
He hummed gently and started patting around the couch gently. "Where Leon?" He asked sitting up. The poor baby could barely keep his eyes open.
"He fell on the floor, baby" I told him then held him close to my chest so I could reach down and grab Leon. "Tank 'ou daddy" He whispered after I handed him his Lion. He clutched Leon with one hand and reached up to put his thumb in his mouth.
"Aht aht" I pulled his hand away causing him to whine. "Let's go get a paci baby" I stood up and put my arm under his thighs to ensure I wouldn't drop him.
I carried him upstairs to his room and started the search for his dinosaur pacifier. I ended up finding his Lion one instead but it was fitting since he wouldn't let Leon go.
"Here baby" I whispered as I slipped the pacifier between his lips. It instantly started bobbing in his mouth and he cuddled closer to me. I sat down on his bed and laid back.
I secured my arms around Ezra's waist and decided to take a quick nap with him.
"Goodnight, baby boy" I said quietly, placing a light kiss on his forehead.
"Nigh' Nigh' daddy" He lisped around his pacifier as he gripped the front of my shirt.
I smiled and closed my eyes.
It may not be official. But, Ezra was my little and I couldn't be happier.
