"Can I jump off the top of the slide to see if I can fly like a fairy?" Ezra asked from beside me in the car. He was no longer in little space, but I was keeping my promise of bringing him to the park. However, I was beginning to regret letting him go on a Tinker Bell binge this morning before we left.

He's been trying to jump off of things to 'fly' all morning.

"No, Ezra, you may not" I sighed, knowing he was most likely going to try anyways. I honestly didn't think he would still be holding on to this fairy thing outside of little space, but I was sorely mistaken. "But, I wanna fly Tee-Tee" He pouted.

I couldn't help but smile at the name. He hasn't called me that since before I became his caregiver. "I know you do, Bug" I pulled into the parking lot of the park, turning the car off. "But, you might get hurt if you keep trying to jump off of things" I continued.

"That's what hospitals are for" He retorted, crossing his arms over his chest. I'd be lying if I said I didn't see the way he rolled his eyes ever so slight. "Is that sass I'm detecting?" I questioned, frowning. "And did you just roll your eyes at me?"

I saw the way he looked over at me for a second, dropping his arms from being crossed, his face softening. "I'm sorry" He whispered, putting his head down, probably thinking he was in trouble. "Look," I grabbed his chin, making him look at me. "I'm just trying to protect you, baby" I told him honestly, not wanting him to think I was mad at him.

Being honest, I was loving the way he was still acting childlike despite not being little. "I just wanna fly" He whispered, never taking his eyes off of mine. "I know that, love" Just then, I got the idea to take him on a plane ride, seems like he's never been on one and I'm sure it would excite him.

"Can we go play now?" He asked quietly. I could tell he was upset so I shook my head. "Not until you tell me what's wrong Ezzy" I dropped my hand from his chin, allowing him to cast his eyes down towards his lap.

"Don't know" Was his simple response. But, I could tell there was more to it than him just wanting to fly around like the fairies in Tinker Bell. "Is there something you want to talk about?" I ran my fingers through his fluffy, brown hair, hoping to get something out of him. "Not really," He mumbled.

I nodded, understanding that he simply just didn't want to talk right now. I looked out the window towards the park, seeing that there was almost no one here right now, which was good in case he ended up deciding to be little.

"Okay, we don't have to talk right now" I told him softly. "Let's go play" Those words cause his mood to brighten just a bit, making a smile appear on my face. We both stepped out of the car and Ezra waited until I was on his side before beginning to walk towards the swings.

"Need me to push you?" I asked as he sat down on the swing, his back facing me. He shook his head no, so I sat on the swing next to him, watching him go back and forth. After a while of him swinging, and me just watching him, he slowed down and began just pushing himself back and forth with his feet.

"Trey?"

"Yeah, Ez?"

"Can I keep your shirt?" The question confused me at first, until I remembered the Spider-Man shirt he wore to bed the night before. I smiled a little, the thought of him wanting to keep something of mines warming my heart. "Wouldn't you rather have a new one, one that fits?"

"A new one won't smell like you, though" He told me, refusing to look my way. I followed his gaze, seeing a little boy and his mom playing on the seesaw. I focused on that for a little bit, before directing my attention back to Ezra and what he had said.

"Does it have to smell like me?" I questioned, wanting to know what he was going to say. In response he nodded, picking with a loose thread on his Lion King t-shirt. "Makes me feel safe" He whispered so quietly that I almost didn't hear him.

A smile once again made it's way onto my face from hearing that. No one has ever told me that my scent made them feel safe before so Ezra saying that made me feel happy. It made me want to give him all of my clothes so he could always feel safe.

"Well," I paused, causing him to look over at me, big, brown, hopeful eyes on display. "You can have more than just that one, if you want" I shrugged, already knowing the answer. His eyes lit up and he began nodding. "Yes, please!" He grinned.

Seeing him this excited over something so small warmed my heart. "How about we go to my house and you can pick as many shirts as you want" I told him.

Just when I thought it wasn't possible, his eyes lit up even more.
