Chapter 2

I finished work early today so I decided to make an appearance at the N.E.S.T. meeting. I am now in my cybertronian form training when I see Lennox talking to a very bitchy lady, but continue to focus on the demonstration Bumblebee was giving the new N.E.S.T. recruits.

"All right, guys. This is how you do a Decepticon herd kill shot." The instructor says as two soldiers jump onto Bee's shoulder and then jump down to do the fake shot but I overhear a little of what Lennox and the lady were talking about.

"They like to sneak out of the house every once in a while, some more than others," Lennox said pointing that comment more towards me with a smirk

'What can I say I like my freedom'

"Colonel Lennox, are you in command or are you not?" the lady snaps

"Yes, ma'am, I am." Lennox answers

"Stop with the 'ma'am'. Enough with the "ma'am". Do I look like a 'ma'am'?" she snaps

'Now that you mention you kinda look like a sir lady.' I think to myself stifling a chuckle (yes I laugh at my own jokes... someone has too)

"No, ma'am. Yes, ma'am. Yes." Lennox answers nervously "Optimus, you remember Charlotte Mearing? Our Director of National Intelligence?"

"He's in a bad mood. He's not talking to anybody today." Dino said standing in front of Father

"What is this, the silent treatment?" Charlotte questions

"We've seen that and this is not that," I answer coming over making my presence known

"Definitely not, this is worse." Ironhide agrees "Prime! Make something of yourself"

'Not the choice I would've made but to each their own.'

"He's pissed" I warn them leaning against the pillar as Father transforms angrily and slamming his hands down on the ground in front of Charlotte and Lennox

"You lied to us. Everything humans know of our planet we were told had all been shared. So why was this found in human possession?" Father says in eerie calmness

"We were in the dark on this also." Charlotte answers " It was Director Only clearance at Sector 7 until now. The bag"

"Which bag?" The young assist whispered

"Hermes. Birkin. Green ostrich!" Charlotte said to the poor girl

'That poor lady does not get paid enough, I'll tell you that much.'

"This is a secret few men know, and fewer still remain alive. Allow me to please introduce to you, two of NASA's founding mission directors and astronauts Dr. Buzz Aldrin, one of the first two men to foot on the moon. Sir? Optimus Prime." Charlotte announces

"From a fellow space traveler, it's a true honor," Buzz says

"The honor is mine," Father says

"Our entire space race of the 1980s, it appears, was in response to an event. Our astronauts investigated a crashed alien ship." Charlotte added on

"No survivors onboard. We were sworn to secrecy by our Commander in Chief." One of the mission directors say

"A total of 35 people knew the real plan at NASA. Soviets managed to land unmanned probes. Somehow they must have picked up that fuel rod." the second director says

"We believe the Russians deduced that the rod was a fissionable fuel assembly, believed they had it mastered, and tried to harness it at Chernobyl," Charlotte added

"We landed six missions in all. We took hundreds of photos and samples. We locked them away forever, and the moon program was shut down." the second director said

"Well, did you search the crash vault?" Ironhide questions

"This ship's name was the Ark. I watched it escape Cybertron myself. It was carrying an Autobot technology which would have won us the war. And its captain." Father says

'I may have never been allowed to part-take in the war on Cybertron but I think I once overheard Father talking about it before the final war on Cybertron.'

"Who was its captain?" Charlotte asks

"Sentinel Prime" I mutter in thought; Father nods to me and turns back to Charlotte

"The great Sentinel Prime, the technology's inventor. He was commander of the Autobots before me. It's imperative that I find it before the Decepticons learn of its location. Our Autobot spacecraft has the ability to get there. And you must pray it's on time." Father says gravely
