Chapter 18

+ Arya pov

"What is that? Looks like a missile." Lucas questioned as Cade held out the still active missile

"It is and it's still active, don't touch it," I say grabbing a wrench

"How do you know?" Lucas asked

"I was in the military," I say awkwardly

"But you're like eighteen," Lucas said

"I am a lot older than you think," I say since I am technically their age

Cade did something stupid and next thing I know we're diving to the ground trying to dodge the missile and it flies through the barn door and we hear Tessa screaming bloody murder.

"Dad, there's a missile in the family room," Tessa says in horror and she speeds walks towards us

"Holy..." Cade mumbles getting up

"Idiot" I grumble standing up before seeing Optimus transform and quickly push Cade and Lucas out of the way

"I'll kill you! No! No! BlackFire run!" Father shouts and I run up to him

"Father, relax! Please It's me BlackFire, It's me!" I beg

"I'll kill you stay back!" Father says pointing his blaster at us

"Don't shoot Don't shoot Don't shoot," Cade shouts

"Call 911 RUN!" Lucas screams and runs but Father swings his blaster at Lucas hitting him in the head surely knocking him unconscious

"Lucas, calm down," Cade said

"Easy human" Father said

"He won't hurt you guys, It's Optimus Prime, he had devoted his life to protecting human and cybertronian kind," I say walking towards him

"Weapons system damaged," Father said stumbling back

"A missile hit your engine and we took it out of you. You're hurt really bad. I'm just trying to help you. You're in my home now. I'm an engineer. My name is Cade Yeager." Cade said

"Cade, I am in your debt," Father said glancing at me and nod "My Autobots, They're in danger."

Father falls to his knees and part of his helm falls to the floor.

"I need to go. I need to go now." Father said

"How far do you're gonna get?" Cade asked

"Tessa come here. He needs our help." Cade said, "What happened to you?"

"An ambush. A trap. Set by humans." Father said glancing to me. I still remember that terrifying day; The day that the humans turned against us attacked. They ruthlessly killed us and ripped us apart. They didn't act alone those another being aided their attacks. It resembled us but it seemed different like more advanced.

I had just escaped the attack when Cade found me. I was injured pretty bad; Any longer and I wouldn't have survived. I owe Cade and Tessa a lot since they saved my life.

"I escaped and took this form," Father said before going into a coughing fit

"But you're on our side. Why would humans hurt you?" Tessa asked

"They were not alone" Father answered, "My Autobot's can repair me."

"If you can reach 'em," Cade said, "What about me?"

'Or if they're still alive. Ratchet had always been the master medic but in his absence I can act as medic. It'll just take some getting used too.'

"I can help as well. After all while in the military I helped the Autobot's repair." I lie since neither Cade nor Tessa know my true form

Cade and I had spent our whole afternoon in the barn fixing Father although Cade left to give Lucas a list of what to get from the hardware store.

"Are you alright?" Father asked me

"Physically, yes, Cade saved my life. Emotionally, not really..." I say looking down thinking of Bee

"I'm sitting next to my Father who was near death when we found him," I say putting my small hands around his large one "No real medic on hand so I have to do my best to repair you in hopes that I'm doing it as well as Ratchet would."
