Chapter 27

"Corporate espionage. That's a very serious crime, Mr. Yeager, and who are you again?" The man asked as we rode up the elevator

"None of your business" I grumble

"Look I want a lawyer." Cade demanded but I just sat back in my chair calmly "The Justice Department. Somebody I can trust. I'm just trying to protect my family, okay? Not from your company from the government."

"Cade shut up" I whisper in annoyance

"Mr. Yeager, who do you think I work for?" another old man asked "You're trying to protect your family, that's admirable. I'm trying to defend the nation from an alien war. We've had a taste of what that looks like, and we are not gonna tolerate another."

"Yeah well, you're starting one by slaughtering Autobots. You're using alien technology so really you're just killing them for the fuck of it." I growl out with narrowed eyes

"Fiesty one aren't you?" the man said making me roll my eyes

"Don't be a sexist prick on top of a horrible human being" I growl out at his comment

"Now... there is a version of this conversation where you get to go back to your barn, your daughter gets to graduate with honors, and life as you know it will go on. You have no idea what you're involved with here." the man said

"Really? What's the other version of this conversation? The one when you send in the hired help to murder my little girl? Or you gonna man up and do it yourself?" Cade question bitterly

"What's your preference? I'm going to ask you this once. Where is Optimus Prime?" the man questioned

"Up your ass!" I growl out

I see Bee hanging onto a helicopter and smash the window in our room and smirk.

"Come on. Let's get out of here." Bee says holding out his hand for us to climb on to

"Thank god, you're here" I mumble we reach the basement and I transform into my cybertronian form and start destroying the lab with the other seeing Brains trapped in a box

"Guys! It's me get me out of this Frankenstein box" Brains shouts and I smash the box and hold out my hand for him

"Hey Brains, it's been a while," I say holding him

"Stop! That's company property!" The man shouts

"They're not your property! They were my friends!" Optimus shouted angrily as I crouched on one of the beams with my blaster pointed at the man with Brains in my other hand

"Oh, you ain't talking so much now! You got BlackFire and Hound in front of you?" Brains said smugly

"Go ahead, show us your true colors, once and for all." The man said

"Just give me the word, I'll splatter him." Hound said

"Why don't you tell Itchy Fingers here that this is all the spoils of war. Dead metal. Innovation. What we do here is science. Because if we don't do it, somebody else will. Because you cannot stop technology!" the man said

"We're not your technology!" Optimus shouted kicking one of the heavy containers and nearly hit the man

"Let me vaporize his ass." Hound pleaded eagerly

"I broke the code. I own your whole genome." the man growled

"You broke your humanity" I mumble

"The world will know what you're doing here," Optimus said

"The world? The world will approve. We can make you now. Don't you get it? We don't need you anymore." The man said

"That was cruel" Hound mumbled

"That kind of thinking is what causing the last war, or did you forget that?" I say jumping down from my spot in front of the man giving him a bit of a spook

"Human's got cocky and within the hour that they sent us away Decepticons took over and destroyed an entire city. Remember that?" I remind them

"Autobots, we're done," Optimus said dismissively

"We're done? We're not gonna kick a little bit of ass?" Brains asked sadly from my shoulder

"I've been itching to kill something lately," Hound mumbled as we walk away
