Chapter 32

+ Arya pov

Cade, Shane, Tessa, and I were breaking into a train storage area right now.

"Dad, I'm tired of running and stealing," Tessa complained

"Well find a place to sleep," Cade said

"Tessa, we don't have any other option. We're fugitives and this is the only way we can survive, besides my brother Sam and I did it in the other wars with the Autobots." I say

"You had a brother?" Tessa asked

"Yeah, I was adopted, obviously," I say

"You never talk about him, why is that? Where is he?" Tessa asked

"... I don't talk about my brother because he's dead now. Because of KSI, I left him trying to protect him but they stormed our house demanding to know where the Autobots were hiding. When he didn't tell them they killed him and my parents." I say sadly "I don't talk about it because it should've never ended that way, I should have been there to protect him like I promised."

"It's not your fault Arya. If you were there they would have killed you, and you wouldn't have helped us as much as you have." Cade said hugging me

This is the first I've ever spoken about my family and what happened to them. I've been carrying around this guilt for years. Talking about it makes it real and I guess I've been trying to make it like an illusion like it didn't happen like Sam was back home waiting for me to tell him about my adventures like I used to.

"We have intercepted encrypted communications." Drift said through the comm

"Joshua Joyce is headed to his factory in Guangzhou, China." I finish through the comm as I stand next to Bee who was the lookout for us

"Hey, big shot. Your company's in serious trouble." Cade said through the phone as it was on speaker

"You better have a damn good lawyer," Joshua said

"Really? Well, you better have a great one cause you're about to be responsible for the annihilation of a city." Cade states

"Now, you listen to me. Your tech has been hacked. Your prototypes are infected. And now Galvatron is after that Seed. I know you have a conscience because you're an inventor, like me." Cade said, "Do not let Galvatron anywhere near that Seed."

"I control Galvatron. I created him." Joshua said

"Deep down, I know you know. Your prototypes have been controlling you." Cade said ending the call

"How fast can that thing get us halfway around the world?" Cade asked looking at the ship

"Very, It's a spaceship" Drift answered while cleaning his sword and I see a car coming our way

"Yeah well, we need to get on that spaceship pronto," I say and everyone runs to the ship

"Move! We're retrieving the Seed, but then we're done defending the humans." Father said angrily

"What do you mean 'you're done'?" Cade asked as he ran onto the ship

"Means 'finished', 'see ya', 'good-bye'" Crosshairs answered annoyingly as always

"When you said you were done fighting for humans, you didn't mean that, did you?" Cade asked Father

"How many more of my kind must be sacrificed to atone for your mistakes?" Father said angrily getting up to walk away

"Well, what do you think being human means? That's what we do. We make mistakes. And sometimes out of those mistakes comes the most amazing things. When I fixed you, it was for a reward. That was it. That was why. For money. And it was me making a mistake. Without it, you wouldn't be here." Cade said "So even if you got no faith in us, I'm asking you to do what I do. I'm asking you to look at all the junk and see the treasure."

"You gotta have faith, Prime, in who we can be," Cade said and knew Father was holding onto what Cade was saying

"Besides there are more people out there than Joshua and those other KSI agents. There are people like Sam out there. People who need our help, that are on our side. Father please, if you won't do it for them do it for me." I beg looking into his optics as I feel a tear run down my cheek and see Father slightly nod his head in understanding

He walked up to me and brought me into a warm and loving embrace. An embrace that I can't remember ever receiving from him but know I have before.

"You are my sparkling. The humans took you in and cared for you when I wasn't there to protect you and for that, I am eternally grateful for." Father whispered to me holding me close to him and I can feel all the love, pain, and fear of when he lost me before
