1 week later
This week had gone by so fast. Padme and Anakin being new parents wasn't easy and they knew this but they were both so excited for the challenge.
Their babies were one week old already. Padme was exhausted along with Anakin from waking up so much during the night. Anakin sat on the couch, cradling his new born son Luke in his arms. Padme sat beside him, holding their other new born daughter named Leia. As they watched their children sleep, Anakin turned to Padme. "I've been thinking," he said. "I think we should teach our children the ways of the Force as they grow up."
Padme looked at him sceptically. "Are you sure that's a good idea?" she asked. "If The Jedi Order finds out you might get in deep trouble, Anakin. We can't just teach them to be Jedi." Anakin shook his head. "I'm not talking about the Jedi Order," he said. "I'm talking about teaching them to use the Force responsibly. We can teach them to control their emotions, to be mindful of their actions, and to use the Force for good."
Padme considered his words. She knew how important the Force was to Anakin, and she could see the passion in his eyes as he spoke. "Okay," she said finally. "But we have to be careful. We can't let them become too powerful." Anakin nodded. "I understand," he said. "But I think it's important that they know about the Force. It's a part of who we are, Padme. And I don't want them to be afraid of it."
Padme smiled. "Okay," she said. "We'll teach them about the Force. But we'll do it together, okay? We'll make sure they understand the responsibility that comes with it." Anakin nodded, a smile spreading across his face. "Thank you, Padme," he said. "This means a lot to me."
Padme leaned in and kissed him gently. "I know," she said. "And I'll always support you, Anakin. No matter what." As they sat together, watching their children sleep, Anakin felt a sense of peace wash over him. He knew that the road ahead would be difficult, but he also knew that he had Padme by his side, and that together they could face anything. They both got up and placed Luke and Leia in their cribs.
Anakin and Padme stood in the doorway of their children's bedroom, watching as Luke and Leia slept peacefully. "They're so beautiful," Padme whispered, her voice filled with wonder. Anakin nodded, his eyes fixed on his children. "They are," he said. "And they're ours." Padme turned to him, a soft smile on her face. "I can't believe we're parents," she said. "It's like a dream come true."
Anakin took her hand, pulling her closer to him. "It is," he said. "And I'm so grateful that we get to experience it together." They stood there for a few more minutes, watching their children sleep, before Anakin finally turned to Padme. "Come on," he said. "Let's go spend some time alone together."
Padme smiled, a hint of mischief in her eyes. "I like the sound of that," she said. They made their way to their bedroom, and Anakin pulled Padme close to him as they lay down on the bed. They talked for a while, about their children, their hopes and dreams for the future, and their love for each other.
As the day wore on, they grew quieter, content to simply be in each other's company. Anakin held Padme close to him, his fingers tracing patterns on her skin, as she drifted off to sleep. For a few hours, they were able to forget about the war, forget about the danger that surrounded them, and simply be together. And in those peaceful moments, they knew that no matter what happened, they would face it together.
Padmé and Anakin woke up to the sound of their twin babies crying. They rubbed their eyes and looked at each other, smiling. "Looks like it's our turn to get up," Padmé said, getting out of bed.
Anakin followed her, stretching his arms. "I'll take care of Luke," he said, picking up the baby boy. "You go to Leia." Padmé nodded and went to the other side of the room, where Leia was lying in her crib. She picked up the baby girl and cradled her in her arms, humming a lullaby. Leia stopped crying and looked up at her mother with big, curious eyes.
Meanwhile, Anakin was holding Luke in his arms, bouncing him gently. "Hey, buddy, what's wrong?" he said, making funny faces. Luke giggled and grabbed his father's nose. Padmé walked over to them, holding Leia. "Looks like you're having fun," she said, smiling.
Anakin grinned. "Yeah, I think he's going to be a Jedi. He's already using the Force to grab my nose." Padmé laughed. "And what about Leia? Do you think she'll be a diplomat like her mother?" Anakin nodded. "Definitely. She has your eyes, after all."
They spent the rest of the day taking care of their babies, changing their diapers, feeding them, and playing with them. They were exhausted, but happy. They had never felt so much love in their lives.
As they sat down to have breakfast, Padmé looked at Anakin and said, "I can't believe we're parents now. It's like a dream come true." Anakin took her hand and kissed it. "I know. I never thought I could be this happy. And to think that we almost lost everything..." Padmé put her hand on his cheek. "But we didn't. We made it through, together. And we have these beautiful babies to remind us of that."
They looked at each other, their eyes filled with tears of joy. They knew that life wouldn't always be easy, but they also knew that they would face it together, with love and courage.
