After having dinner with her boyfriend, Maya just decided that it would be better for her to come home because she was not in the mood to do anything else right now. 

She’s been tossing and turning over her bed since she laid on it trying to get herself to sleep even though it was a little too early than the time she usually would go to bed. Maya  just wanted to shut her brain off to keep herself from overthinking 

“She just really needed a place alone cause she needs to study that why she stayed in a hotel just near here”

Those words from Jack about Carina and her whereabouts kept on echoing in her brain 

Stop thinking about it, Maya said to herself stopping herself from doing the crazy idea she’s been thinking this whole time

But she was really really desperate at this point. She needs to resolve this issue right now or her head would explode from how much she was overthinking. The guilt, the confusion, just everything, she just wants her answers right now. 

Maya finally opened her eyes wide open in defeat and reached out for her phone that was on her bed side table. She quickly searches for hotels that were near her. She almost wants to facepalm herself from how crazy she looks right now but she needs this. Luckily for her there were just a few results that showed up and 3 that were just a walking distance from her so maybe she could start there. 

The blonde haired girl got up from her bed and got her coat before heading out for the door of their dorm. The night was still young so a lot of people and other students were still outside enjoying the city lights of Seattle. The view outside and light breeze of the cold air hitting her face made Maya's nervousness calm down a bit. She actually likes taking walks. It helped her a lot with many of her worries, it's just a really effective mental exercise for Maya  

She arrived at her first destination which was the hotel closest to her. It wasn’t that big of a building but it was not small either. She went inside and headed straight to the lobby. 

“Hello, how may I help you?” A girl at the other side of the desk ask Maya politely 

“Hello, uh I was actually invited here by one of your guests, Carina Deluca” Maya said without any hesitation in her voice even though she was freaking out inside. 

“Oh I’m sorry ma'am but we don’t have any guests here tonight under the name of Carina Deluca” the receptionist said “Are you sure you have the right name?” She asked again

“Yeah, there must be some kind of a mix up with the hotel. I’m sorry but thank you” Maya bowed at the girl before exiting the building. 

So wasn’t staying there

She immediately crossed that hotel off her list and headed to the next one. And to Maya’s disappointment she was faced with the same fate as the first one as Carina was not staying there as well

So now she was headed to the last of the nearest hotels she could walk to and this building was probably five times bigger than the first two she went to which just intimidated Maya a lot more. 

There were two guards on the front of the door and one on the inside. She made her way through them without much suspicion. Once inside she was welcomed by nothing but elegance. The blonde haired girl’s jaw almost dropped to the floor by just how exquisite everything looks. She’s actually never been inside any building that looked like this but she always wondered how these people could afford such luxuries 

“Good evening, my name is Charles how may I help you” A guy in a suit on the lobby said to Maya

“One of your guests, Carina Deluca asked me to come here”
