Maya slumped down the couch, Andy following her. She invited Andy over because it has been quite some time since they have hung out with each other and she really misses her best friend. The both of them finally got their free time so they thought why not just spend it with each other. Maya got the whole dorm to herself because Carina had classes and final exams she needed to attend to. The end of their semester is nearing, luckily for Maya she’s already finished up all of her important exams and projects. 

The both of them were just catching up on some stuff that happened to them when suddenly Maya's phone vibrated signaling she got a new text message. Half expecting it was from Carina, she quickly unlocked her phone. The text was from Jack though. Furrowing her brows in disappointment, she read the text..

I have a surprise for you on Saturday :) was all the text said. Oh right Maya thought as she remembered her date with Jack at the festival which was by the way 3 days away from now. Maya was so confused about what the guy was talking about, she was about to reply when suddenly she heard the doorbell rang. 

Maya stood up from her seat to open the door. when she opened it, it was a man with a huge package in his hands. "Delivery for...uhh Miss Maya Bishop." he looked at her.   

"Yeah, that's me." Maya said, taking the package from his hands before signing on the little electronic device.

"Thank you." she closed the door, looking curiously at the lid decorated with a crimson bow. What is this? I didn't order anything she scratched her scalp in thought.   

"Who was that?" Andy asked her, raising her eyebrows as she noticed the package in Maya's arms.   

"The delivery man. Apparently I have something delivered to me." she put the package on the table, unwrapping the bow with her slender fingers.  

"So it's a gift? From who? Is it from...” Andy tilted her head to the direction of Carina’s door “You know” the brunette gushed, her eyes sparkling in excitement.

Maya thought about it briefly, but then she dismissed the thought quickly. It probably is not Carina, after all to her all we are sex buddies, she sighed sadly.   

"I don't think so." she answered Andy. Then she remembered the text from earlier, "Oh. I think I know who it might be." her lips forming an O shape. Why Jack, I don't want it to be from him. What is he trying to accomplish with this? she frowned.  
 

"Well come on, open it." Andy rushered her.

Maya lifted the lid up, her eyes widened in shock and admiration. It was a beautiful bouquet of flowers, she ran her fingers over the delicate petals of the flowers. She pulled it out carefully out of the box still in awe. She was speechless, she’s never seen something this beautiful in her life. It was absolutely gorgeous, she had to tip the invisible hat down to Jack's taste. When she realized who the package was from, she decided she would politely refuse it.   

Andy was gawking at the bouquet of flowers too. "Wow" was the only word she could muster.   

Maya looked down in the box to see a little envelope inside. "Hold this for a sec." she handed the flowers to Andy, taking the envelope from the bottom. There was no name on it or anything. Strange Maya thought as she ripped it open. The little note inside was handwritten:

Maya,  

I know giving flowers might be a very cliche move but I wanted to show how much I appreciate you, I really hope you liked them. Look for me when the clock strikes eleven this Saturday, I will be waiting for you in the studio closest to the main stage. I hope to see you there...
