Sixteen

That night had been utter bliss for them both, when Derek awoke the next morning he couldn't believe his luck, he really had landed her, the most beautiful girl he had laid his eyes on.

Meredith's eyes slowly adjusted the light that peeped through the small gap in her curtains, she could feel his breath on her neck. His stubble lightly grazed her shoulder as he placed kisses to the bare skin. 

They laid in silence , enjoying being so close to the other, enjoying a moment that was only theirs.  Derek's hand had settled again on her bare thigh, something that he knew comforted her and teased her at the same time.

Her back was pinned against his chest, their bodies were almost stuck together. 

"You are utterly amazing Mer"He whispered into her hair. She turned to face him, lightly she bit her lip. She focussed on him completely. His eyes, how his dark hair sat on his forehead. She remembered how he felt against her, how gentle he was when she needed him to be and how hard he was when she wanted him to be. How he caressed her skin, how he held her and made sure she was okay with each movement he made.

She had never experienced such a passionate, yet soft and wild night. 

"I need to shower"Meredith lightly whispered to him. He hummed in response. "You can always join me"She added. He hated to turn her down but he knew Addison was now home and he also knew he wouldn't be able to control himself. 

"Fuck Mer. If i had my stuff I would. But I would be showering to put on dirty clothes"Meredith nodded,making sure as she stood and pulled her shorts down to give him a tease, she lightly shook her hips as well bending over to pick up the clothes they'd thrown the night previous.

He was tempted but had more self control than she realised, however he did stand up, catch her before she made it to the bathroom to lightly slap her ass. Which he now knew was so perfect, so rounded and tight.

Once he heard the water running he decided to change her sheets, they were sweaty and slightly damp. He found her spare set in the bottom of her wardrobe after searching a few drawers. One contained some rather sexy lingerie.

Once he had made the bed he pulled on his clothes from the night before and walked to the other bathroom. He washed his face and used the mouthwash he knew was spare. 

He found himself rifling through the fridge to find ingredients for breakfast, he decided on making a stack of pancakes with strawberries and chocolate sauce. 

Meredith finished her shower and walked into her room to find her bed freshly made and his clothes picked up. She couldn't help but smile.

She decided on a tight pair of jeans and blue jumper that was lightly cropped.  

Stepping out of her room she could smell the pancakes, it was something she knew she could get used to. 

She wrapped her arms around him tightly, resting her head on his back. 

"I could get used to this"Derek exhaled, speaking the words she thought. They were just starting to eat when Addison and Amelia came from Addison's room.

"Hey there you"Addison hugged Meredith lightly.

"Morning"Derek spoke cheerfully. Meredith smiled lightly.

"We walked in when you were fucking last night. It was loud. But you go girl"Addison rushed before dragging Amelia out leaving Meredith red faced and in a state of laughter.

He hadn't felt that happy since he was in highschool, she was his happy place. 

That was all before he broke the news that he had to travel the California where the police had linked their main suspects from the pedophile rings to a string of child abductions and murders. 

He hated leaving her but work was something he couldn't let slip. Ruby was all prepared for the trip within an hour of Derek getting the call.

Meredith understood, she knew this case had drained him so much and he wanted to crack down on it.

She gave him the most passionate loving kiss before he left, which of course left him swooning.

She sat in her pyjamas, Amelia on one sofa and Addison on the other, they were making plans for Amelia's birthday which was approaching.

Meredith was really just messaging Derek who had been gone for three days. She missed him, but she could still feel his lingering touch.

9:31pm- Derek💙😍- You should be sleeping my beautiful! I miss you

9:39pm- Meredith🩷 😝- Your sister is here 😚, I miss you. How is it? You and Aaron found any leads?xx

9:51pm- Derek💙😍- Lol she sees you more than I do. I think so, I hope so.  You know I miss my hot girlfriend xx

9:55pm-Meredith🩷 😝- I love being your girlfriend. I miss my rather dashing boyfriend too. You should get some sleep Der. Long days for you xxx

10:12pm-Derek💙😍- Yeah, I will go sleep now. I do miss you so much. See you soon, I can't wait to hold you. Sleep tight my girl xx

She smiled down at her phone, ignoring the girls who laughed and rambled.

"So Mer. You are a close friend who I consider family so I want you at my meal, my parents and sisters will be there that is the thing"Amelia snapped Meredith from her daydream.

"I don't mind meeting them, it depends on Derek and if he minds your mum meeting me"She placed her phone down as Poppy curled on her chest.

"I will talk to him, but he should want to show you off."Amelia winked. Meredith loved the bond she had developed with Amelia. 

Amelia was like Addie, the sisters she never had. Meredith kept it hidden but these things meant the most to her, extending her circle of family, of trust.

Of course Amelia was on the phone to Derek the next morning, harassing him and asking if she could invite Meredith, he was over the moon that she wanted to meet his family. He didn't care if it seemed soon, he knew she was the one.

His only problem was that the meal would be a couple of hours after he landed home, so the first time he would see his girl in a week would be around his family.
