Jennifer's pov..

"Petition for divorce...."

Is all I read when my body stopped breathing.

Divorce papers?

Papers for divorce?

She's asking for a divorce? From me? The mother of her kid, her wife?

We just kissed a few days ago. Did that mean nothing to her? Did she plan this all along?

I trusted her. I believed her when she said she missed me.

I believed her when she said she loved me. I believed her when she said she was sorry.

I believed every word that came out that women's mouth because I love her. Because she's the reason why I'm the women I am today.

I can't believe this. I really can't. My brain won't process this. My heart won't either. My body is telling me this is a joke.

But my mind is telling me it isn't. That my wife, Leah Marie Lopez-Remini, is asking for a divorce from me.

I stumble off the couch and get my keys with the papers in my hands.

"Catalina?!" I yell. "Yes?" My housekeeper answers.

"Watch-watch Mariela. Make sure she's safe. I'll be right ba-back." I stammer.

"Are you sure you should be leaving like this?" She asks worried. "I'll be fine. J-just watch my daughter please." I said and walk out the house.

I turn the car on and immediately drive over to Vicky's condo, where Leah is staying at the moment.

On the way there, I couldn't help but let my tears escape. I don't want this to be real. I won't let it be real. I need to get the love of my life back.

I'm done with taking it slow and giving her space.

I put the car in park quickly and get out the car stumbling. I almost fall but I keep it pushing until I get to the door.

I bang on the door repeatedly. Not caring about if she's asleep or not. She shouldn't be because the lights are still on. "Leah! Open the door!" I cry out.

I stop banging on the door for a second and look around behind me into the darkness.

I look in the driveway and see a unfamiliar car parked next to leahs. I've never seen that car before.

The door opens and letting the light from inside shine out.

Leah was standing there with her robe on and her hair in a beautiful messy bun.

"L-l-Leah..." I stutter. Not being able to speak the words that I want to.

"Jen what are you doing here?! It's late." She complains.

"-i-I got your papers." I said and show her the papers that are in my hand.

"Jen you need to go." She says trying to kick me out.

"Leah please, just let me change your mind." I beg. I sway side to side, trying to stand up straight but the wine is hitting me.

She sighs and shakes her head. "Jen you're drunk. You need to leave." She said.

"Leah, don't do this please. Dont throw this away yet please." I plead and grab her hands gently.

"I'll do anything to make things right. Anything Leah, you name it. I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything that I did. I don't know what I did but I'm sorry." I beg, tears steaming down my face.
