Synopsis:
Minea is lost. Her mother has trained her to study the Erullian language, allowing her to cast every single spell. Her friends admire her for this, but Minea can't help but wonder if this is all magic can offer? During the spellcaster festival, her friends are sure she'll pass every school she applies to, and Minea is grateful for that. But something inside her tells her that these schools will be the same as what her mother had taught her. Minea wants something new— something exciting. That's when she meets Talya.
Talya is jealous. Her eyes can perceive every spell around her. She could see their beauty and their brilliance. However, she must be the only Erullian who has never cast a single spell in her life. Who knew magic could be so close, and yet so far? But then she meets Yna, a Failyn who is an anomaly to every rule in the history of their magic. If a Failyn like Yna could cast spells, perhaps she can finally know what it feels like to be a caster herself.
Yna is furious. Failure, that's what the Erullians call her and her people. They always think they're superior to the Failyns just because they have a connection to magic. One evening, the gods answered her prayers, she was bestowed with magic she could call her own. She may be her village's hope against the Erullians.
