BRUSHING THROUGH MY HAIR, I smiled as I looked at myself in the mirror. I was wearing black clothes as I was attending a funeral.

Packing a few tissues and some extra bits, I left my apartment and walked towards the venue of the funeral.

Looking up at the picture on top of the coffin, I smiled as I saw the familiar face of my old childhood best friend.

Walking to the casket, I stared in at his pale face as I smiled at him while tears welled up in my eyes.

"Mikey..." I said as my tears fell on his lifeless cheeks. "I'm so sorry." Kissing his forehead one last time. I wiped away my fallen tears and smiled at him.

"Ma'am, we're going to have to ask that you step away from the casket." The funeral director said as he placed his hand on my shoulder.

"Oh, I-I'm sorry." I said as I wiped away the tears from my cheeks.

"Oi, let the woman stay. No one else is coming in."

"Mitsuya." I said with a smile.

"Fine, but only for 5 minutes." The funeral director said as he stepped away.

"Thank you..." I said as I bowed my head in thanks as Mitsuya put his hand around me to pull me in closer.

Hugging me tightly, I began to cry into Mitsuya's chest as he teared up too while hugging me tightly.

"He would hate to see us crying, wouldn't he?" I asked as I chuckled slightly while looking at Mitsuya.

"Damn right he would." Mitsuya said as we both dried away our tears while we looked into Mikeys casket.

"We didn't have our final battle like he promised." I said to Mitsuya as he smiled while sniffling.

"I'm sure that we'll meet him again. And you two can go all out." Mitsuya said as he rubbed my shoulder to comfort me.

"Yeah, I hope we do." I said as I rested my head on Mitsuya as we both watched the casket being closed and lowered into the ground.

Being handed a red rose, I lightly threw it in over Mikeys casket. As they began to bury his casket in soil, I stared into the ground and then at my hand.

"When we're older, I'm definitely gonna beat you. Mark my words."

Mikeys words began to replay in my head as I smiled down at him. Saying one final prayer, I felt raindrops on my head as I put up the umbrella I had brought with me.

As the rain fell heavier, my eyes were still fixated on the soil as it filled the ground where Mikey was laid next to his brother, sister and grandfather with his mother and father on the other side.

"I have to go, promise you'll be okay?" Mitsuya asked as he rubbed my shoulder when I realised that we were the only two left.

"Yeah, yeah I promise." I said smiling to Mitsuya as he walked away from Mikeys final resting place.
