My Obsession

Chapter thirty seven:

The sound of someone knocking on our door woke me up, I groan getting up from the couch. I glance over to Y/N still asleep in my bed. I moved her last night from Toms bed to mine and I just took the couch. I open the door to see Draco and Blaise standing there dressed in all black suits, I lean against the door and rub my eyes. "Mattheo, your father has requested all of our presence." Draco tells me. "Y/N still asleep here." I tell them, looking back at her. "Just wake everyone up and have them come get ready in our room. We can't wake her." Draco tells me, walking back to his room. "It's best she doesn't know, we're doing this to protect her." Blaise comments before walking off as well.

We all finished getting ready in Draco and Blaise's room, Tom walks back in. "Y/N still asleep, we should go now." He tells us. We all apparate ourselves to the Malfoy Manor. I take a deep breath when we walk inside, the house was surprisingly quiet. I push open the doors to the dinning room and see my father and the other deatheaters sitting around the table. "I was beginning to think you all weren't gonna join us." My father says, getting out of his seat. Tom and I exchange a look before going to take our seat next to our fathers as well as the rest of the boys. "As all of you know, my boys are my eyes and ears inside of Hogwarts. As well as the rest of your sons. But now we need to focus on recruiting more people. Students especially would be helpful." He comments, stopping himself agains once the doors swing open. All eyes go to the doors, I don't recognize the man standing there next to Professor Snape. My father had a huge wicked smile on his face, "I would like to introduce to you Regulus Black." He calls out to us, the man follows Snape to take a seat. All the color must of drained from my face when I heard the last name. "We couldn't be more thrilled to have you here." My father calls out to him, the man nods his head and takes a seat next to Tom. "Have you found your brother yet?" My father ask him, it took everything inside of me to not react to his question, I knew exactly where that man was. "At the moment no, only person I've seen come from the house recently was his daughter or Remus Lupin." He admits, looking over at myself, and my friends sitting next to me, I knew he saw us come from that house. My father slowly nods his head and takes a seat again, "What's their relationship?" My father ask, "Estranged, she wants nothing to do with him. Quite frankly hates the man. Remus Lupin and his wife are currently the ones caring for her." Snape announces to the room. My eyes stay glued to the wooden table that I sat in front of, I was trying my best to not react to any of this news. I don't want her apart of this, I will do anything to keep her away from my father. "The boys here are all very good friends with her." Lucius tells my father while all eyes go to us. "They would know more about that relationship than any of us would, now wouldn't they?" Lucius ask, his glare going directly to me. I bite my tongue and lean back in my chair, Tom clears his throat and speaks up first. "She's has no idea of his where about. Like Snape said, she hates the man and wants nothing to do with him." Tom tells our father, his face not breaking character. My father slowly nods his head and ponders the idea for a minute. "Does she have any idea you exist?" Narcissa speaks up and ask Regulus. He takes a deep breath and looks to her, "Yes, I was her guardian till I left." He says, his stare going back to me again. I can't help but raise my eyebrow and look at my friends, equally shocked expressions on their faces as well. "We'll use that to our advantage then." My father says with a huge smirk on his face.

I sat on the edge of the wooden dock as I let my feet hang into the black lake. Pansy, Dean, Oliver, Quinn, and Carter all sat on the dock as well. "Where the bodyguards?" Oliver calls out to me, I shrug my shoulder and look over my shoulder at them. "I don't know I woke up and they were all gone." I tell them and then my attention back to the water as I kick my feet back and forth slowly. "I heard all the Professors talking earlier and they said they have a huge announcement to make at dinner tonight." Quinn tells us, Pansy leans back against Deans chest and raises an eyebrow at him. "It's probably about how great Harry Potter is and we all need to be so grateful for him." She comments, mocking Dumbledores voice. I can't help but laugh and nod my head at her comments, "Professor, I think someone is trying to kill me." Dean chimes in, imitating Potters voice. "Help will always be given at Hogwarts." I say trying to imitate Dumbledore the best I could. I look over my shoulder giggle as everyone else was laughing. I pull my feet out of the water and lean against the pole next to me. "Help will be given if your a Gryffindor and only a Gryffindor." Pansy tells them, playing with the bottom of her hair. We spent the rest of the day here, just killing time before the big announcement at dinner.

I walk into the Great Hall next to Pansy and Dean, I start to scan the Slytherin table and my eyes finally land on my favorite boys. "I'm happy you all decided to show your faces." I call out to them, taking a seat next to Theodore. "Where've you all been?" I ask them, raising my eyebrow. "My father invited us all out to lunch with him, we just went to eat with him." Theodore tells me, wrapping his arm around my shoulders. "Where've you been all day? We couldn't find you when we got back." He ask me, trying to change the subject off of them. "I was with Dean, Pansy, Oliver, Carter, and Quinn." I tell him, watching them walk over and take a seat next to us, Oliver takes a seat next to me. I look away and notice both Mattheo and Tom aren't here. "Where are the brothers?" I ask them, before I can get an answer I spot them both walking in together. Mattheo had a hoodie on and the hood pulled over his head, they both take a seat across from me. "Aren't you a ray of sunshine?" I tease Mattheo, looking him over. He rolls his eyes at me and puts food on his plate, I glance over at Tom and he doesn't look any better. Before I can press either of them anymore, Dumbledore stands up and silenced the Great Hall. "I hope everyone is having a great year so far." He announces, taking his time to look around the hall. "Myself and Professor's here are excited to announces we will be holding a ball." He shouts out, the whole hall erupting in whispers and excitement, mostly from the girls. "This will be a Sadie Hawkins dance." He says, huge smile on his face. I look over at Pansy who is practically jumping out of her seat. "Y/N, this is amazing." She shouts at me, I look less than thrilled I can tell you that. "Oh yay, all the girls going insane over asking boys, woohoo." I comment, rolling my eyes. "Black..." she snaps at me. I keep my eyes glued to my plate since I can already feel her death stare. "She looks like she wants to kill you." Theo whispers to me. I nudge his side and shake my head, "Don't give into the monster, she bites." I tease, the two of us giggling with one another.
