I woke up at 2 pm, feeling surprisingly well rested. I sat up in bed, trying to remember a dream I thought I had, but I couldn't recall any of it. I sighed, getting up and taking a shower.

I should visit my father in the hospital today.

My parents may have kicked me out of the house, but I held no resentment toward them...actually that's a kind of a lie. I knew that's how they were raised though, so I didn't really blame them for thinking it would be best for me, and maybe it was.

After a few weeks I might be able to get an actual house. (Math moment?) If I get $1,500.00 each week, maybe it would take about 10 weeks to be able to afford an at least decent place for myself...then again I wasn't the best at math so I would just have to be patient and focus on the present.(bad at math moment)

Shower thoughts am I right?

After I was clean I dressed myself I nice looking, but casual, clothing. I didn't want my sick dad to think I was a loser, because he had no filter and wasn't afraid to express his thoughts...

I made sure to grab my wallet/purse (whatever you prefer) so that I could buy lunch while I was out, before I locked the door and unlocked my vehicle.

And so I texted my mom, telling her I was on my way to the hospital, as I drove to the location she had sent me.

Arriving at the hospital, I politely asked a nurse to tell me the room number for (Father Name) L/N.

Room 390, fifth floor

I made my way to the fifth floor using the elevator, but as I stepped inside another man stepped in with me quietly without sparing me a glance. Without knowing why,  I took a moment to observe his appearance... that was undeniably strange.

He looked like he was one or two years older than me, and I could even say he was rather attractive, but I questioned his very specific features.

His dark brunette hair was shoulder length and messy, which I can't say looked necessarily bad,(hot long hair men moment?) but when I saw his pale skin, and when I say pale, I mean it had no rosiness to it, in fact it almost had a bluish purple look to it, which was very odd. His eyes held dark circles, like he hasn't slept in days, and the whites of his eyes looked less white and more grey, while his irises were a shade of silver that looked unnatural, with a faint purple ring on the edges of the silver that almost seemed to glow in the shadow his hair cast over his face.

His arms were bandaged all the way up to where his shirt sleeves ended at his elbows, refusing to show anything more than his pale fingertips, which he quickly shoved into his pockets.
I looked up, meeting his eyes that unfortunately noticed my staring. He stared at me right back with an expressionless face, shifting he's weight.

I averted my gaze awkwardly, staring at my feet I cleared my throat, feeling the need to start a conversation to make things less awkward.

"Sorry-...um what brings you here? If you don't mind me asking..." Way to go, I feel like I sounded rude now.

He took a moment to respond, "I'm here for my mother, she's... badly injured from a car crash..." he responded in a deep solemn voice.

"Oh... I'm sorry to hear that, my father is old and sick with the flu... but I hope your mother recovers."

He sighed, combing his fingers through his hair "Me too, hope your father gets well too." I said a quiet thank you in response.
