Tonight, you must make a choice..
My thoughts wandered momentarily, wondering if Michael had escaped. I hoped so.
I start screaming as a burning sensation ignites over my back, squirming and thrashing in panic. Springtrap drops me suddenly, stumbling. "The hell is wrong with you woman??? You're not on fire! IM on fire!!" He yells through the loud roaring flames. He bends down to pull me off of the ground, clearly ignoring that flames began to crawl up his legs, more focused on getting me to safety. The rabbit suit's jaw hung loosely as if the heat began to melt him. He looked distorted and horrific due to the heat.
Suddenly an enraged scream from a young girl sounded as a burning rafter cracked in the ceiling and broke, collapsing down heavily onto William, who let out a strangled noise between a scream and a growl, a noise I never imagined hearing from him. I scrambled backwards, shocked and trying to avoid the way the flames burst suddenly from under the timber. His eyes shot wide as his body was weighed down, panic flooding him suddenly as his large hands clawed at the ground at the realization he was stuck. "Y/N! Y/N! Please—" he tried to shove the rafter off. "Kick the thing off of me or something! Help! Don't just sit there I'm gonna fucking burn!!" He speaks more frantic.
I quickly scramble up to grab for him and pull him, but suddenly my hand is stomped on.
"Ah-!" I yelped as I look at a little girl with black hair tied in pigtails. Black eyes.. yellow shirt with the dark colored dress.
Cassidy.
"Cass- please move-!" I plead, yanking my arm but to no avail. How was she so heavy on my wrist? She grins disturbingly wide as I watch other souls appear behind her, giggling. "Silly girl.... Don't you see where we are?"
Jeremy, Fritz, Gabriel, Susie. They're all here. All except one. Where's Charolette?
I meet her dead empty eyes, red pinpricks in her eyes. "Cassidy....let me go!" She ignores my plead again.
"Y/N, tell me, tell US. Why are you trying to save a murderer instead of us? Are you really so selfish?"
Cassidy says with venom.
"No no, you are saved! I-I did everything Charlie asked-! The happiest da-" I'm cut off. "Happiest day?" She starts cackling hysterically, the other children joining in the chorus of laughter that rang out, hurting my ears. Tears welled in my eyes as I finally yank my arm out from under her strangely strong weight. I hold my arm looking frantically around her laughing form for reassurance that William was still in tact, which he seemed to be falling unconscious.. his jaw had fallen off completely to reveal the rot beneath. He must have been slightky awake still because he spoke, strained. "Y/N... please don't.. leave me here. I don't wanna.. Burn.." he croaks, smoke filled voice. "Don't leave...it hurts...so bad.." he let out a.. pained laugh. "But I..always..come back."
"DON'T YOU GET IT?!" Cassidy suddenly screamed at me, angry that I stopped paying attention to her. "There IS no HAPPIEST DAY." She snarled. "Not as long as HE still remains!" She points at the rabbit. "Leave here, and leave the demon to his demons." She looks at me seriously. I look back over to Springtrap, who was completely limp now. I sniffle. "Cassidy...where's Charlie?" I croak as I look around. Tears began to fall. Can't Charlie reason with her? "Charlie doesn't matter anymore."
Cassidy steps closer with the others. The heat begins to warp their forms into tall shadowy figures, sharp teeth, torn faces and large claws. They took the forms of the iconic band, yet unbelievably twisted. I watched as Cassidy began to distort in front of me, causing me to stumble back.
A giant yellow bear with a purple bow tie manifests before me, my eyes shot wide in horror as it gnashed all of its sets of teeth, two in the mouth and one in the stomach. I was frozen in the spot. I watched the others go to surround Springtrap, and I felt an emotion I couldn't recognize. Yes, he was a child murderer. God knows how many lives he had taken, and it was not a redeemable kind of sin. Maybe I had gotten used to the rabbit's company to the point that I had forgotten what he was. He was a killer of innocent children, and my boss Jeremy, and I lingered around him as if he was just some guest at my house. I shouldn't feel guilty, he should. This wasn't my fight anymore, it was the souls. Wherever Charolette was, she'd probably feel the same.
