Marcus arranged for a plane to take us to Toronto that night. We only had time to pack, and the car was already ready outside to take us to the airport. When we arrived in front of our plane, the guys were so excited to get out of California for a couple of days that they hurried to get out of the car at once. At least I don't have to ask them 10 times to get on the plane. We're now putting our bags inside the plane and taking our seats. I sit in the back, thinking I wouldn't be interrupted here and that they would sit in the front, letting me alone. The positive thing about not taking the car is that we have our own little space. Kyle sits close to me, a few seats ahead, while Lucas and Cole sit further back on the plane and Enzo is in front of Kyle. My luck of being alone in the back has gone out the window.

"Did you let Emma know you're leaving?" I ask Enzo.

"Yeah, she's not too happy about it."

He was supposed to see her tomorrow for their first date together outside of the house. I know Emma's going to be disappointed, but she'll understand the responsibilities he has and that sometimes he'll have to leave in a hurry. If she ever wants to be in a serious relationship with him, she doesn't have a choice. She'll have no choice but to deal with it, unfortunately.

"If you told her today before leaving, I can understand."

"I told her last night, don't worry," Enzo responds.

"She was looking forward to it, that's why she's a bit mad about it," I tell him, winking at him. He blushes and sits up straight in his seat.

"When are we supposed to come back?" Enzo asks, facing at the back.

"Marcus didn't say anything about that" Lucas responds.

"I hope it won't be too long," Enzo says.

"So in love with Emma that he can't take a couple of days without her, cute," I say in a small voice.

"Oh, shut up," he replies.

I burst out a laugh and sit comfortably in the seat before taking a nap. He can be so reserved and secretive sometimes, but inside we all know he's a sensible man. Anyhow, the rest of the flight went by quickly since I slept. Five hours later, we're at Toronto's airport ready to go to the hotel, before going to the villa.

9:00 am

We're going straight to the villa this morning to relax before meeting the Goldens tomorrow. They're quite renowned here and Marcus wants the best to ally with. We always worked alone, but now we're going to work with the Goldens whether we like it or not. I think we can make it out without them, but I'm not the boss here, so we must do what he thinks is best for the gang. We're now 20 minutes away from the villa that Marcus owns here in Toronto. I've only seen the place twice, we rarely travel here and if we do, I usually stay in California to stay close to Emma and keep an eye out. Arriving at the villa entrance, I'd forgotten how majestic it was. It's a completely different atmosphere from the house in California. They're both incredibly beautiful, but this one has a certain charm that the other one doesn't have.

The driver dropped us off and took our suitcases out of the car. He wished us a good day and headed back on his way. We look at each other and think the same thing immediately. Seconds later, we all start running towards the villa and hurry to find the best room, which is upstairs on the left. The competition is on! I try to push Kyle who just passed me on the stairs. Enzo and Lucas are behind me, and Cole is in front of us getting closer to the room. I start running up the stairs two at a time, thinking I could probably make it if I gave my all for the finish. I pass Enzo and Lucas and when I'm at the top, I start running in the hallway and grab Cole's shirt to stop him in his momentum. He stretches out his hand to try and bring me down with him, but I avoid it by chance. He ends up falling on his butt, and I continue my race to the end of the hallway. As I'm about to open the door, a hand lands on me and holds me back. I freeze and stay in place. I feel his breath on my neck, his lips close to my ear and his body against my back, fighting to get closer.
