Scott wakes up to the sound of his alarm blaring. He quickly reaches over and hits snooze, hoping to catch a few more minutes of sleep. But as he lays there, he realizes that he has to get up or he'll be late for his first day of school. He jumps out of bed and runs to his closet, grabbing the uniform off the rack.
He looks at it for a moment. He knows he has to wear it, but the thought of going to school dressed like this makes him feel uneasy.
He chucks the stockings aside since it's September, and he can't be bothered to figure out how to wear them. He quickly throws on some boxer briefs, relieved to feel a bit more manly. After slipping into a button-up shirt, he grabs the skirt and tucks in the shirt like the school handbook instructed.
Feeling a bit self-conscious about his hairy legs, he considers covering them up with the stockings. It's a bit of a struggle to put them on, with their stretching and toe-catching, but he eventually gets them on and buckles up his shoes. Surprisingly, the uniform fits him pretty well, despite his tall frame being on the slight side.
He hurries down the stairs to the front door where Mrs. Evans is waiting for him. She says "Wow, you pull off that uniform better than I would!" Scott says, "Not sure if I want to take that as a compliment." Mrs. Evans giggles.
Mrs. Evans drives him to the school and tells him how he needs to go to the headmaster's office as she wants to have a word with him before he starts the day.
When they arrive at Arbury School for Girls, Mrs. Evans wishes him luck, and Scott heads to the headmaster's office. He notices no one was really looking at him funny like he had imagined the night before. "I guess I fit in," he thought.
When he arrives at the headmaster's office, he is greeted by someone who introduces herself as Lady Mae. "Headmaster Baker will be with you shortly. Have a seat right here while you wait", she says.
Within a minute of sitting down, Headmaster Baker walks up and says, "you must be Sophie Campbell" with a smile on her face. Scott, trying to play it cool, says "technically yes but technically no, I'm Scott Campbell."
Headmaster Baker quickly replies, "well, you sure don't look like a Scott" and laughs. "Anyways, follow me into my office, we have some things we need to talk about."
Scott follows her into the office nervously. Headmaster Baker motions for him to sit down, and she takes a seat across from him. "So, Scott," she says, "we need to discuss a few things before you start your first day at Arbury."
