Scott arrived back at the Evans' house and dropped his bags by the door. The weekend had been overwhelming, and now he was finally back in a familiar place. He still wore the outfit he had borrowed from Gracie. As he unpacked his belongings, he couldn't help but feel a mix of relief now that this long stint of being Sophie was over, at least for a little bit.

While he was hanging up clothes in his closet, Mrs. Evans knocked softly and entered the room. "Scott, dear, that little outfit looks so nice on you," she said with a warm smile. "Did you buy it today?"

Scott turned, his face flushing slightly. "Oh, no, Mrs. Evans. Gracie let me borrow it."

Mrs. Evans nodded thoughtfully. "Well, it's okay if you want to wear stuff like that around the house, you know. If you want more clothes, I'd be happy to go shopping with you."

Scott quickly shook his head. "Thank you, Mrs. Evans, but I'd rather not wear girls' clothes more than I have to."

Mrs. Evans then pointed to the outfit he had been forced to buy earlier in the day. "I noticed that new outfit in your bag. That's why I thought you might want to dress like this more often."

Scott's face lit up. "Thanks, Mrs. Evans. I'll definitely grab some."

As Mrs. Evans left the room, Scott continued unpacking. He hung the dress from the dance, the outfit he had bought for his date, the pyjamas Gracie had let him borrow, and Oliver's jacket which he had forgotten about until now.

Once everything was put away, he headed downstairs, eager to get a cookie while it was still warm. As he entered the kitchen, he ran into Mr. Evans, who was grabbing a glass of water.

Mr. Evans, a little taken aback, said, "You look good mate!"

Scott felt his cheeks burn with embarrassment. "Uh, thanks, Mr. Evans. It's just—"

Mr. Evans raised a hand, cutting him off. "No need to explain. I understand it's a strange situation to be in."

Still embarrassed, Scott let out an awkward, "Yeah! No kidding eh."

He took a couple of cookies and went to the living room, sitting down on the couch. Now that the embarrassment had passed, he was too lazy to change out of the outfit in a hurry, so he turned on the TV and found a soccer match to watch. Moments later, Mr. Evans joined him, sitting in his usual chair.

The two watched the game in comfortable silence, Scott munching on his cookies and Mr. Evans occasionally commenting on the plays. Despite his discomfort in the borrowed clothes, Scott felt a small sense of normalcy.

The day had been long, and as the soccer match played on the TV, Scott allowed himself to relax
