Scott approached Gracie, noticing her downcast expression. "Hey, Gracie, are you okay?" he asked gently.

Gracie looked up and forced a smile. "I'm fine, Sophie. Just thinking."

Scott could tell she wasn't fine. "You don't look fine. What's wrong?"

Gracie sighed, her facade crumbling. "It's just... I used to have a thing with Oliver. We were close, and then he just ghosted me out of nowhere and started dating Camilla. And now, everyone just left me alone at the table."

Scott's heart sank. "I'm really sorry, Gracie. I didn't want to dance with Oliver, but Chloe and Amelia kind of forced me. It felt gross. I don't even like guys."

Gracie nodded, understanding. "It's okay, Sophie. I get it. Thanks for telling me. It's just that seeing him brings back all those feelings, you know? And then to be left alone..."

Scott felt a wave of empathy. "I get it. But remember, you're amazing. Oliver's the one who's missing out."

Gracie's lips curved into a small smile. "Thanks, Sophie. That means a lot."

Scott thought for a moment. "Hey, you know what? Oliver's not worth it. He's a total wanker."

Gracie laughed, her mood lifting. "Yeah, he is, isn't he?"

Scott smiled, proud of his successful use of British slang. "How about I get us some drinks?"

Gracie nodded. "Thanks, Sophie. That'd be great."

Scott headed to the drinks table, grabbing two cups of the blackcurrant juice. As he turned to head back, Oliver called out to him. "Hey, Sophie! How's Gracie doing?"

Without stopping, Scott replied, "She's fine," and kept walking.

Oliver followed him. "Good to hear. You should come dance with us later."

Scott, trying to be polite, said, "Maybe later."

Oliver then slapped Scott on the ass. "I hope you do."

Scott was shocked but said nothing, his disgust evident as he glanced over his shoulder to see Oliver smiling and winking. Scott quickly made it back to Gracie, his feet aching from the heels. He handed Gracie her drink and decided not to mention what had just happened with Oliver.

"Here you go," Scott said, handing her the cup.

"Thanks, Sophie. You're a lifesaver," Gracie replied, taking a sip. "You know, you're right. Oliver's a big fucking wanker. Why should I let him ruin my night?"

Scott grinned. "That's the spirit. Now let's have some fun."

Gracie laughed. "Deal."

Scott noticed Amelia waving at them from the dance floor. "Wanna go dance?" he asked Gracie.

Gracie nodded. "Yeah, let's do it."

They joined Amelia, Anna, and Chloe, forming a circle. The energy was infectious as they moved to the beat, their earlier worries fading away. Scott found himself relaxing more, moving freely and enjoying the moment.

Chloe twirled Scott around, and Amelia laughed, clapping her hands. "Sophie, you've got moves!" Amelia exclaimed.

Scott felt a surge of confidence. "Uhhh- of course!"

Gracie cheered them on.

When "I'm Every Woman" came on, they all belted out the lyrics. Scott felt a strange sense of camaraderie, the earlier tension melting away.

As they continued to dance, Amelia, having drank a little too much of Chloe's special juice, began grinding on Scott. Chloe laughed as Scott stiffened up. "Loosen up, Soph!" Chloe shouted as she joined Amelia. Scott felt a mixture of embarrassment and exhilaration, but the warmth from the juice made it easier to just go with the flow.

A slow song began to play, and Gracie turned to Scott. "Do you want to dance with me?"

Scott blushed but smiled. "Yeah, sure."

They swayed slowly, their hands resting on each other's waists. Scott felt butterflies in his stomach, but he chalked it up to the alcohol from the juice. The closeness with Gracie felt different from anything he'd experienced before. Her warmth, her scent, the gentle way she held him – it was all strangely comforting.

"You're a good dancer, Sophie," Gracie said softly.

"Thanks, Gracie. So are you," Scott replied, his voice barely above a whisper.

They continued to sway, lost in the music and each other's company. Scott found himself relaxing more, enjoying the moment despite the bizarre circumstances.

As the song ended, Gracie said, "I need to go to the loo. Do you want to come with me?"

Scott, now used to the girls' group bathroom protocol, followed her. Inside, he was shocked by the number of girls crowded around the mirror. He recognized a few from his classes.

One girl from the gymnastics team complimented his dress. "Sophie, your dress is gorgeous!"

Scott returned the compliment, trying to maintain his facade. "Thanks! I love your makeup, Lucy!"

A stall became available, and Scott excused himself. Sitting down to pee, the sight of his panties around his knees and the dress pulled out around his waist didn't even phase him as he was having too much fun to care. He finished and washed his hands, catching a glimpse of his reflection.

Remembering the lip gloss Amelia had given him, he reapplied the light pink gloss, liking the sticky feeling it left on his lips. He then found Gracie, and they headed back into the hall, rejoining the other girls.

The dance was ending, and everyone was heading out to catch their rides. The five of them headed to the front, shivering in their mini dresses as they waited impatiently for Amelia's mom.

Suddenly, Oliver approached Scott from behind, wrapping his jacket around him. Scott, startled, quickly spun around.

"Looks like you need it more than I do," Oliver said with a smirk.

Scott tried to refuse. "It's fine, really—"

But Oliver ignored him, leaning in and stealing a kiss. Scott stood in complete shock as Amelia screeched in joy.

Chloe laughed, nudging Scott. "Looks like someone's got a new boyfriend."

Anna joined in, giggling. "Yeah, Sophie. Didn't know you had it in you!"

Scott, still in shock, said nothing. Just then, Amelia's mom pulled up, and they hurriedly shuffled into the car, leaving the eventful evening behind. Oliver waved, a confident grin on his face.

"See you later, Sophie," he called out, his voice lingering in the air.

Scott, wrapped in Oliver's jacket, felt a mix of confusion and dread as the car drove away, the night's events replaying in his mind.
