The time for the dinner party came. Close friends, relatives and some of the employees of the Vongphipan were invited, Kit and Phana and their family and especially the Jaturapoom family.
When all the guests were settled, the program started. Ben and his family are called on the stage to give some speech. Ben thanked all the visitors who came, gave his thanks also to god that he has another life to live, his family and specially to his youngest child Beam that came home for him. You can hear a murmur from all the visitors that Ben and his family deserve all the best in this lifetime because they are all good people who treated everyone equally.
After the speech they all started the dinner party, Ben and Bern approached all the visitors, bid their hi and hello to everyone. They stopped at David's table. David noticed New who held hands with Beam, he looked at the hands of New and Beam and then looked at his son who happened to also look down there.
He fake coughed to ease the tension he felt. And whisper to Ben about New.
"Ow I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you, let me introduce you, this is New Beam's best friend in Korea." Said Ben "He arrived this morning and he is also Thai and he will be back here for good." He continues.
"New son meets the Jaturapoom." Bern and New waid at them.
"Swadee kah" said New
"Swadee." The jaturapoom waid also to him but not Forth. He intently looked at New and Thea noticed it and something came to her mind.
"New is not just Beam's best friend, he is also courting Beam." She said, Beam and New's eyes widened in shock at what they heard.
"Phi." Whine Beam and New and Thea laughed hard because who saw Forths flabbergasted reaction.
"Hahaha…just kidding." Said Thea and Ben and Bern just shake their heads and chuckle.
"Thea…stop that ok." Warn Thype because he also saw Forth's expression and Thea just raised her hands and nodded while laughing.
After greetings all the visitors Beam led New to Kit and Phana's table and they began to talk. New is known by the two because Phana and Kit went to Korea every time they got the chance and they considered him as their best friends also.
Forth's is one table away from where Beam and New sits, he can clearly see that New and Beam are close to each other, tend to the needs of both of them, bickering and teasing each other like Phana and Kit does. He intently looked at them, especially Beam. His eyes show too much jealousy towards New and it doesn't escape from their family and even New noticed it.
He leaned to Beam and whispered to the ears of the latter that caused them to be too closed. "Beamie." He said
"Hmmm?" Asked Beam
"Your Forth is too scary, look at me and he stares at me the whole time." Whispers New
Beam secretly glanced at him and New was right, Forth is indeed looking at him fiercely. He smiled sweetly to New, in fact he intentionally did that to show at Forth.
"Don't mind him, he can't bite you anyway." He said and they both laughed.
Because of what he saw, Forth got really pissed off and excused himself to go outside to smoke to clear his mind.
Beam was called by his parents because one of his parents' clients wanted to meet him, so he apologized to his friends and went to his parents.
New excused himself also and went to the balcony where he saw Forth leaning on the wall having a smoke. He is about to go back inside but Forth sees him. He tosses his cigarettes on the floor and steps on it and calls New "Hey" said Forth but New pretends he didn't hear. To his shock, Forth grabs his arm and drags New away from the house.
"Hey let me go." Whine New but Forth didn't listen. New felt cringe when he noticed where Forth brought him. He brings New to the backyard of the Vongphipan mansion, to the darkest corner. "Wh….what do you want?" He asked, fear can be heard from his voice.
Forth let him go and stared at him fiercely. "What are you to Beam?" He asked
"Huh?!"
"Don't make me repeat what I said." He said with a stern voice.
New shivered by cold aura of Forth, he's scared as hell "Ok..ok.. there's no need for you to worry hmm.." said New, he can clearly see that Forth is jealous, and Forth is scary he doesn't want to be bitten to death by this beast, New thought so answers truthfully. "Me and Beam we're just friends, close friends, best friends." He said
"Are you telling the truth?" Asked Forth
"Yes, we met in Korea and we were both at the same faculty when we enrolled in university and we're both Thai so we immediately became friends." New explained, Forth stares at him intensely and he does the same even if he is scared. "And…I know everything about you." New says without blinking. "I know everything that you did to him in the past, during his two years stay in Korea I got the chance to know how he suffered and got hurt loving you."
Forth blink his eyes, and New can clearly see the guilt in those eyes.
"And he does everything just to forget you." New continues, "and he is very determined to do so."
Forth brush his hand to his face and grip his hair in frustration. He looked at New one more time. "No..I won't let that to happen, I won't let that to happen." He said repeatedly in frustration. And New can clearly see the tears glistening in the man's eyes. Forth is crying, the beast knows how to cry. New thought.
"Forth, just give him time and space. For now let him enjoy the time being with people who truly love him from the start, he wasted two years of his life away from them just because of one single person that all he did were hurting him. You wasted two years realizing that you love him. I don't know if your realization is too late,maybe yes,maybe not. Who knows, only Beam can tell, you can ask for his forgiveness and tell him what you really feel but not now Forth, let him breathe for the meantime, let him be Beam Baramee Vongphipan without a Forth Jaturapoom's shadow infront of him. Just stay behind for the meantime Forth." Said New and after that he leaves Forth and goes back inside the mansion.
After New left him at the backyard, what New told him kept flashing in his mind. Maybe he is right, just give him space and time for the meantime but not for too long. He needs to plan it very carefully on how to approach Beam once again.
After few minutes he also goes back inside but he choose a place where in Beam won't see him, in a place where he can freely stares at the man he love so much. Beam is so beautiful, so gorgeous that make his heart beat faster. If he was not some kind of a jerk back then, he probably holding him in his arms by this time. Thought Forth.
