Relationship Chicken (pt 4)

If you had told Ava, a few weeks beforehand or even hours beforehand, that she would be going on a date with Loki, she would've waved them off. Yet still despite that she still found herself on a date with Loki, as she was allowing him to lead her to their first stop, at least she hoped it was their first stop, rather than an elaborate plot to make fun of her for believing that he held feelings for her, or worse a murder plot, as she dared to disagree with him. At this Ava allowed her head to shake. No, Loki wouldn't do that, what's to gain from it? Nothing. Just relax for once and let this handsome god take you out, if you hate it, he never bothers you again, right, Ava reassured herself trying not to let those negative thoughts get the best of her. Though she wouldn't have minded if she had at least some sort of idea where they were heading. Taking the chance to look up a Loki, and speak. "So where exactly are we heading to mischief?"

"That is for me to know and for you to find out?"

"Is it?"

"Yes."

"Can you at least give me a hint, so I know what to expect?"

"And why would I do that pray tell?"

"So I at least know you aren't planning to murder me in a back alley," Ava found herself blurting out before she could stop herself. As quickly covered her hand over her mouth trying to find a way to explain it. "I didn't mean it like that it's just," she started to say trying to undo what she might've done. Yet as she was doing so she felt the tips of Loki's fingers press against her mouth just as she had done earlier to him.

"Don't worry, darling, I have some knowledge of your lives, of those foolish mortals who dare used dates as an excuse to do terrible things. Rest assured I am not like them, if I were to murder you which would truly be a loss, know would've done it by now. I also would've ensured that we weren't seen together beforehand in such a public place."

"Because that's reassuring to know," Ava found herself blurting out before she could stop herself once more. Way to make an impression Ava, she scolded herself before remembering even if she made a bad impression it wouldn't matter right? Loki wouldn't just abandon her with no way back right? Yet rather than finding herself faced with a discouraged god, Loki seemed more amused by the situation.

An amused chuckle escaped Loki's lips first, something that reassured Ava even just a little. "I am not sure what I love more. Your amusing thoughts or how you speak of them, my little minx." Little minx? Well, that's new, Ava thought as she was taken back for a moment by the new pet name. At this Loki seemed to see this look, speaking once more. "Did I say something wrong, dearest?"

"No, I was just surprised that's all," Ava said trying to wave off all concerns.

"I see, well you are about to be surprised, so more because we are almost there," Loki said, as he uninterwained their fingers, a contact that felt like a miss. Through seemed to better when he put his hands over Ava's eyes.

"I swear if you lead me into a pole, you will pay mischief."

"I wouldn't, I promise. Just go with me on this."

"Fine," Ava said as she allowed Loki to lead her whenever he wished, through the first thing that Ava could smell was food. Yet rather than it being one specific type of food, she was flooded with the smell of many different types.

"You can open your eyes now," Loki said leaning close to Ava. As soon she felt Loki's hands no longer on her eyes, something that Ava couldn't say she missed. Just as she had initially missed his hand in hers, something she wasn't expecting, though she could always chalk it up to a lack of real intimate contact aside from touching certain areas. The moment Ava allowed her eyes to flutter open she was shocked at what she could see, she and Loki weren't the only ones there, as she was faced with several food trucks, and people down below.
