Kunavai and her best friend Vanathi sat on a bench on the palace grounds. It was well off in the night. They were talking about different matters related to the kingdom, their personal lives etc. Just then Vanathi started to suggested "Akka..., Akkaa..... Akka? " She asked Kundavai, who seemed to be lost in her thoughts. Vanathi snaped her hands in front of her, bringing Kundavai out of her thoughts. "Aan, what? " She asked Vanathi. "Akka, I was just suggesting that we should walk on the grounds for a bit as we have been sitting for a long time." Vanathi said. "Hmmmm, fine with me" Kundavai said as she got up.

"Akka, may I ask you something? "Yes, cakotari" replied Kundavai. "Is something bottering you? Or shall I say someone?" Vanathi asked in a teasing tone. On this question Kundavai's cheeks flushed a little. Even though she tried to hide her obvious blush on her cheeks her ciranta nanpar was able to notice it, even through the darkness of the night.

"No Vanathi, I was just thinking about our kingdom." "Are you sure Akka? As you have been 'Thinking about the kingdom' a lot after you have met someone" Vanathi asked raising her eyebrows. "Are you talking about that traveller who is running around looking for me without noticing I am Kudavai ?" "Yess, but Akka I didn't mention that traveller, it could have been anyone, how come you thought I was talking about him ?" "Vanathi seriously ?"
Kundavai said as she started to jog to her chamber with a slight smile on her face."Akka! Wait! "Joging behind to catch up with her, laughing while seeing her Akka's flustered self.

(In Kundavai's Chambers)

They were sitting on her bed "Vana will you ever stop teasing me please! " "Why ? You have had your fare share teasing me about Ponniyin Selvan" said Vanathi crossing her hands "Now it's my turn and you never even deny it !"" It's not like that Vana, I can't have my thoughts revolve around a man, unlike a person I know" said Kundavai giving Vanathi a side eye " Akka! First of all you never seem to let me go meet him and now this! I am just worried about him" Vanathi said. She sighed keeping her head on her Akka's lap "When will he come back Akka, I am so worried about him" Vanathi said dozing off.

Kundavai was worried about her friend. Even though she was one of the main matchmaker in Vanathi and her younger brother's life. She was thinking about this, when a certain young man came to her mind.

She still remembered their first encounter when he had barged into the astrologer's house and saw her. She remembered his face. She have had some butterflies in her stomach but hadn't thought much of them. Then the crocodile incident happened. He had came to their rescue even though it was a fake crocodile.

She wanted to talk to him. Ask him what was he doing. She knew that one way or another he will find a way to talk to her.
