Scarlett's pov-

"Rose, sweetheart I need to put the toys down and get dressed." I sighed from the kitchen when I saw walk down in her pjs holding her toy for show and tell.

"Fine." She sighed and put the doll down, running back upstairs.

I laughed at her before finishing her lunch box and checking that I had everything for the day.

I had a busy day, I had to go film for my new movie then I had a meeting for a few different things then I had to go to rose's private for her parent's night with her teacher that I've struggled to get out my head since I met her.

I grabbed her school bag and made sure to put her doll and lunchbox in it, checking she had her homework and everything else she might need.

"Mommy, is daddy coming to my parents evening?" She asked as she bounced down the stair and over to me.

Rose's dad and I got a divorce four years ago when she was only four and since then he has only seen her twice and only calls once a month.

"He promised me he would come."

"I'm sorry baby but your dad is stuck in France, he said he will call tonight if he can to see how it went." I said and I watched as her whole body deflated and her beautiful smile disappeared.

I was walking rose to her classroom, she was still upset that her dad wasn't coming.

She hasn't smiled or even said more than 'okay'.

"Rose, baby." I got down to her level and took her face into her hands. "I'm sorry your dad can't come but I am and after we can go out and get ice cream and then have dinner at your favorite restaurant."

She just looked at me, she didn't give me her normal bright smile.

"Okay." She said before looking down the hall.

I really feel for her, I can't imagine how she feels and I really don't know how to help her.

It's not her fault I have shit taste in men.

"I'm sorry baby."

Suddenly she smiled and ran away and towards the woman who does the exact same for me.

"Miss Young!" Rose shouted as she threw herself into the teachers arms.

"Morning Rosie." The small brunette woman who was smiling at my daughter. "Morning Scarlett."

She walked over to me with my daughter and gave me a soft smile.

She's been rose's teacher for two years and I have fallen for her, for how much she cares about every and everything.

"Morning phoebe. How was your weekend?"

"Nothing special, I missed the kids." She replied. "Oh, I have a letter that was given to the class but as rose was off I kept one behind for you guys so she didn't miss out."

"Thank you, what's it about?" I asked as I followed her into her classroom what was empty.

I may or may not come early so I can have ten or so minutes with her alone.

"It's an over night trip to an aquarium, they'll have dinner at McDonald's and watch a movie in the massive screening room they have before spending the night sleeping in the water tunnel and then they will have breakfast watch another movie."
