Description- Y/n and Lizzie had been dating for 2 years until they broke up because Lizzie had so much on her plate with marvel and offer projects. At a New Year's party they bump into each other, y/n is still heart broken even after a year. It doesn't help that Y/n and Ashley are best friends.
------- Y/n's pov-
Ashley was stood in my closet chucking dresses at me while I pretended not to see them and carry on watching my show.
"Y/n, please just get ready!" She begged picking up a dress I wore on my first date with Lizzie, she doesn't need to know that I kept it all this time. "Just put this on and do your hair and makeup."
"Ash, I don't wanna go-"
"I am not letting my best friend start the new year on her own." She sighed and gave a hug before going to get ready herself.
Knowing I wasn't going to win, I got up and picked out another dress not wanting to wear the dress that reminded me of the happiest time of my life before my heart was broken.
After I was finished I stared into the mirror, realising the dress I was wearing was the dress Lizzie got me for Christmas for new years since we were going to host a party but she broke up with me the morning of so today marks my one year of heartbreak.

I was about to change but Ashley came in and smiled at me before dragging me out of my room and to my living room where Mary Kate was waiting with a smile.
We were close but not as close as me and Ashley.
"How are you feeling?" She asked and pulled me into a hug.
"I'm fine, let's just get this over with."
They sighed before leading me out and into the rented car.
----- We arrived at the party that was being hosted by Mary Kate's friend Angela Jolie, don't ask me when they became friends or even how because I have no clue.
She was hosting the party at a castle that can be rented out, I actually looked into it when I thought Lizzie was going to propose.
"Cone on, let's get a drink then find some people to talk to." Ashley shouted over the music before leading me to the bar area.
"I'll catch up, I need the toilet I didn't have time before you dragged me out."
"Okay, I'll get you a glass of wine." She patted my shoulder before walking off while I went outside to the garden wanting to calm my nerves because I know I will definitely will see Lizzie.
"You look beautiful." A voice sad making me jump and turn around to face the woman who broke my heart.
"Fuck sake Elizabeth, you scared me." I sighed and looked back at the view.
"You have never called me Elizabeth before, even when you were just my big sister's friend who happened to be my age."
