"You have nothing to worry about blankita." Abuela said as I cleaned the living room for the tenth time and lecturing them on how to act when y/n comes for dinner.
"Maybe I should cancel, tell her another night-" I sighed nervously.
"Elena, you and y/n have been dating for 9 months." Mom laughed as she walked over to me to stop me cleaning. "She makes you happy and we really want to meet her, you have canceled four times."
"I'm just worried, she's my everything right now and I don't want you guys to scare her off by being dramatic or just embarrassing."
"We won't scare her off! How dare you! I am so hurt! You are breaking my heart." Abuela said as she stomped into the kitchen.
"Elena it is going to be okay, why don't you go get changed while we finish setting up." She smiled and stroked my cheek gently. "Now go."
I walked off to my room and got changed into a simple pair of blue jeans and a black and white striped jumper.

"Okay, y/n is meant to be here now but she's always ten minutes late so I can clean the place one last time." I said to myself in the mirror before walking out my room hearing my favorite laugh in the world.
"Y/n!" I smiled and ran into her arms when I saw her talking to my mom.
"Hey Lena." She whispered into my hair as she held me tightly.
"Your early, that's so not you." I whisper laughed into her shoulder.
"Gotta make a good impression on your family and I missed you so I wanted to see you." She whispered again and rubbed my back.
"You saw me four hours ago on the bus." I giggled again.
"Okay, that's enough of that." Mom laughed and pulled me away. "Go help Abuela bring the food out."
I nodded and fully stepped away from my girlfriend and took in her outfit.
She was wearing one of my black jumpers and a plaid skirt, she looked beautiful, she had a simple makeup look.
