Description: the new agent y/n Jareau joined the BAU and Emily and Derek made a bet on if she was gay or not but 5 months later they still have no clue until something happens.
—————— Emily and Derek were sat at there desk when a woman with long brown hair walked into the bull pen but walked past the two that were checking her out and straight into hotch's office.
She was wearing cropped trousers with a white button up shirts that she had the first two buttons undone.

"Is that new agent joining us?" Derek asked the dark haired woman. "She's so hot."
"And gay." Emily laughed as she leaned forward to catch a last glimpse of the woman before she closed the office door.
"She is not." Derek laughed, shaking his at the women beside him.
"She totally is." Emily laughed and turned back to her desk as jj and Spencer joined them. "I bet you that she is."
"$20?" Derek asked holding his hand out for Emily to shake.
"Deal, who ever can get her non work number and ask her out on a date first wins." Emily laughed while jj shook her head at them both.
"Y/n doesn't date people who she works with." The blonde told them as she waved Penelope over.
"And how do you know that?" Derek asked with a laugh as the two went back to staring at the woman as she and hotch walked out the office. "Wait how do you know her name?"
"Everyone meet y/n jareau." Hotch introduced the brunette and she waved before jj pulled her into a tight hug.
"I go by Dj because I was really into music as a kid and I looked up to jj so the nickname stuck but you can call me anything really." The brunette now known as y/n or Dj pushed Jennifer off of her. "Jayje, just because you are my big sister does not mean you baby me, we had this conversation before I joined the team."
"Right, y/n lets go introduce you to Rossi before Penelope tells us about our case." Hotch said before leading Delilah to rossi's office.
"Sister?" Emily asked in shock, Penelope and jj laughed at her and Derek's faces.
"She's adopted, technically she is my cousin and she's 25 but she's been my sister since I was 14 and she was 9." The shorter blonde tells them about her sister.
"That's young to work here isn't it, boy genius is the same age but he knows like every thing." Derek pointed out as he now felt guilty for staring even though she is 25 and he's only 31, emily on the other hand wasn't feeling guilty at all.
She's 29 so only four years older and she's hot.
"She has photographic memory, so she would literally just look at what she know and go into a test, god that annoyed me while I was studying to start college at the same time as my little sister and she was just laying around about to start college five years early." Jj laughed and let her eyes follow her sister, they could all tell she was worried for her sister.
Starting a new job his worrying for everyone and jj cares for her family so she is very worried for her sister.
"So she really doesn't date coworkers?" Emily asked not really paying attention to anything but the younger jareau.
"She did once, fell in love and ended up having to leave the job and that's how she ended up here." Jj shrugged before grabbing her go bag. "And before you ask I'm not telling you who will win this bet you have to solve that yourselves. Come on Penny, let's leave the play boy and girl to eye up my sister."
"I am not a play girl!" Emily called after the two blondes and spencer who followed them.
"Tell that to the new girls you have every night out." Derek laughed before grabbing his and Emily's bags and dragging her into the conference room.
————— It's been a month and neither Emily or Derek had made any progress with the brunette, atleast that's what they thought.
"Emily!" Y/n laughed as Emily dragged the jareau woman in her spinning chair to her own desk.
Y/n was gripping onto the arms of the chair as she allowed Emily to pull her to her desk backwards.
"Look at this deej!" Emily laughed as she showed the other woman a video of a baby cow.
The woman's favorite farm animal, she was obsessed with cows for some weird reason but she just finds them so cute.
"I know it's one of your favorite animals and I know someone so on our next free day do you want to meet this beauty?" Emily asked as she smiled at Dj as the woman looked at baby cow on the screen happily. "My friend has a farm and this is her new baby cow.
"I would love too." The brunette smiled and leaned into Emily's side gently before pulling away and quickly excusing herself to go join Penelope and her sister in Penelope's office.
Emily went to go back to work but a hand slamming down $20 stopped her.
"She's gay." He sighed and sat down in Dj's seat that she left there.
"How do you know?" Emily asked confused.
"I just wanted the bet to be over with so I asked her out for a drink and she let me down by saying ' Derek you are a great friend and I'll happily go have a drink as friends but I'm more into woman'."
"Twenty bucks, that will get me a pizza, ice cream and wine." Emily smiled and stood up to head towards the office the jareau's and Penelope were. "Sweet."
Just as she was about to walk into Penelope's den and heard talking and very loud foot steps like someone was pacing.
Emily knew it's wrong but she opened the door a little so they won't be able to see or hear it's open but she could listen in.
"I can't believe I've let it happen again." Y/n sighed as she marched around the room. "I can't believe I let myself fall for her for fuck sake."
She's in love with some? Emily thought sadly as she went to walk away but something jj said caught her attention.
"Y/n, calm down." Jj sighed. "Emily isn't like freya, if you do get together and break up she isn't going to turn anyone against you."
"I know, I just I like her but what if she doesn't like me or it doesn't work out."
"Ask her, she's been listening from the door for the last five minutes." Penelope said making Emily jump and look through the crack of the door to see a clear view of Penny.
"For fuck sake." Y:n sighed and opened the door, taking Emily's hand and dragging her to the supply closet.
"Dj?" Emily asked confused.
"Okay, so I like you and I understand if you don't feel the same and I'm sorry you had to hear all that-" y/n started to ramble but Emily cut her off by kissing her.
"Are you done?" Emily asked with a laugh as she cupped the woman's face.
"Maybe one more kiss will help?" Y/n smirked and leaned into another kiss.
"Wine and pizza on Derek's lost bet money?" Emily asked as she showed the shorter woman the $20.
"Ah yeah, the bet on my sexuality Penelope told me about it." Y/n smiled and leaned against Emily. "Happy you won?"
