Alya's POV
I woke up really early and went to make breakfast for me and Astra. I need to make this day perfect. I want to tell her today as she is never going to tell me. I have the whole day planned out in my head. I smile and cook her strawberry pancakes in the shape of a heart. I saw them on pinterest one time and thought they were so cute! Next I make her an iced coffee, her favorite. I make sure to add her caramel syrup just the way she likes it. I am just placing it on the table with a note when I hear her come down. I have already tidied up so I leave and go home to get myself ready.
Astra's POV
I wake up and reach out for Alya. She isn't here. I smell breakfast. Aww! She cooked me breakfast. I smile and get up and go downstairs. I hear the front door shut as I get to the top of the stairs. Huh. That's odd. I say quietly and continue walking to find strawberry pancakes in the shape of a heart and my coffee. That's so sweet I say and see the note to the side of the coffee glass. I smile and read it 'Good Morning Astra, I decided that today I am going to take you out. I have planned everything. Make sure to wear something cute and I will pick you up at 11.' I smile and eat my breakfast wondering what is going to happen today.
I look at the time. I have two hours to get ready. I smile again and go upstairs to get ready. I go for a shower and get dressed into a romper. It had a lace top with an open back and some pink floral shorts. I added my pearl necklace, some small gold hoops and did my makeup. I smiled as I picked out my shoes. I had the choice between some pink pumps or some white wedges. I ended up picking the wedges as it matched the white and gold bag I was taking. I checked the time. It was nearly 11. I quickly finish getting ready and walk downstairs just as the doorbell rings. I opened the door and there was Astra. She looked beautiful in her purple floral flowy dress with white flats to match the white flowers. I smiled and got my keys.Alya's POV
She opened the door and my heart immediately started racing. She looked so cute in her romper. I smiled and led her out to my car. "So what's the plan?" she asked as we started driving.
"Well I have a few things planned. One of them is a picnic in the park." I say with confidence. "Then we take another short drive to a small field. And the rest is a complete secret." I look over at her for a second. She looked so excited. When we got to the place I picked a spot on top of a small hill under a tree so we would have some shade. It had a very pretty view of the play park below us and the bright blue sky above us. I take out the food I bought in my picnic basket. It was all of her favourite foods and some inside jokes as well. We had strawberry milk, strawberries, watermelon, galaxy chocolate, pretzels and some other biscuits as well as homemade brownies and some sandwiches I made this morning. We ate and drank and laughed about everything. It had always been easy to talk to Astra. When we were finished I packed up and we walked back to my car. We then drove to the next destination. A small field I always went to when I needed somewhere quiet to sit and think. There was a small river running to the edge of the field which was surrounded by trees. When we got there I bought out the hot chocolate flask I had and the blankets. The sun was just starting to set. Perfect I thought and we walked down to the field with the river. I set down the blanket and we sat down.
