I open my eyes. I must have fallen asleep. I should feel lucky I guess, I survived the night after all. I quickly eat some more baked beans before hastily continuing my journey in the opposite direction to yesterday. I walk warily, knowing what I now know, continuing in a straight line until I finally reach a more built up area. It looked more like a town than a cul-de-sac, there were larger buildings and more parked cars which seemed to have been left in the rush. I moved slowly between cars and behind buildings, keeping my eye out for the strange creatures. I looked around hopefully, there must be a shop here? I continued to look but there was nothing. Just empty warehouses. It's like all the people have vanished and taken every single item and belonging with them. I don't have much chance of survival now. This is my last opportunity to find some food. I crouch further behind a car as I think I hear something. I peek over the rusty green bonnet, looking all around but see nothing. At which point I hear a very loud voice. This sounds like a human voice. An actual human speaking to me. I don't believe in God but maybe he is real and it's him talking from heaven? Or maybe I'm not alone...
