Ava rounded everyone up for another meeting in the library, like she always did when she had to tell us something. It took away from my grading time, but I didn't really mind. "What it do, Abbott teaching crew?" Ava beamed. "Damn! Last time I was up this early, was to cuss out the mailman. Don't need all them bills coming." She laughed.

"Uh, I thought breakfast was being provided." Gregory said. I can't say I wasn't a little disappointed when I came in and saw all the little boxes of cereal. "Don't act like you don't see all this cereal. She gestured to the table. "So! The district sent us some new technology to help our little ones Exceed, and Excel! She told everyone.

Confession: "You know, I'm always up for something new. I'm a very open-minded person." I nodded at the camera. "But something about this doesn't seem right? I don't know, maybe I'm putting too much thought into it." I told the camera guy before I went back into the library.

Ava told us more about the program, and how it was going to help us more in our classroom. Barbara complained that she didn't know of a program that could help us teach better than we can.

"Well, old-school teaching is great, don't get me wrong. But the latest doohickey can be a great new addition to teaching." Nene smiled enthusiastically. "Yeah, I guess new tech has its perks. Like when you haven't been with someone in a few years." I laughed at Melissa's joke. "Yeah, you're definitely not wrong about that." She gave me a confused look. "What's that supposed to mean?" Her eyebrows furrowed. "It means that i haven't been with someone in a while. Duh." I smiled at her, slightly confused. "Well surely there's been so-" "Ook everybody, this is Mr. Avery, he's going to be helping us with our new reading program." Ava announced.

Mr Avery tried helping us with our program, but all his efforts were useless. This program made absolutely no sense. "Oh come on, what the hell is this?" I said as I continued to struggle with the word cloud. "Yeah, who do i gotta bang to get into the Analytics Annex?" Melissa asked. It seemed we were more confused than anyone else. Mr Avery came over to help us with our problems, but I honestly stopped listening when he began rambling about some word bank?

Confession: I thought I was really tech-savvy for a 27-year-old, but obviously not. I was wayyyy off. I shook my head and continued poking at my tablet. Oh, damn it! They kicked me out again." I groaned.

Ava finally "dismissed" us and let us go back to the breakroom. I sat next to Melissa, and she showed me the most adorable little video on her phone. We both laughed at it. I noticed Jacob come in, talking about all the different teachers with the new guy. I stood up from my chair.

"Hey, Gregory right? I asked him.

"Yeah, that's right," He said looking in the cabinets.

"I don't mean to bother you, I just wanted to know how you were getting along with your class and everything. "

"Oh, yeah. Everything is smooth sailing, " He replied.

"Yea, that's great. I just wanted to- Are you looking for something." I furrowed my eyebrows together when I noticed him looking around throughout our conversation.

"I'm sorry, I'm just looking for the creamer." I heard Jacob continue his one-sided conversation, as he failed to realize no one was listening.

"Top cabinet, all the way down," I pointed. "Anyway, I hope you're enjoying yourself." I smiled at him and left. Not before I could overhear him say something about Melissa.

I was walking down the halls, looking for Janine. But I stopped when I saw her standing in Barbara's classroom. "Hey, Nene I was looking for you. Barbara, I see you're still working with the new tech." I whispered, noticing the tablet in her hands.
