Cupid made quick haste when it came to arriving at Y/n S/n's apartment on the dot. He didn't want to leave her waiting for him, after all. He's a man of his word. His wings were now long disappeared for the moment and, after taking a deep breath, he knocked on the front door. And then he waited.
And waited.
Eventually, it swings open to reveal Y/n in a dress that defines all words. But one thing was certain: even the most stunning flowers would pale in comparison to her beauty. "Wow..." Cupid's eyes were glued on her and it was at this very moment that for the first time in a thousand years, he was left speechless.
"Is it too much?" She seemed to be a bit on edge, out of her comfort zone. Cupid understood her nervous mannerisms and needed to ask for his opinion on her outfit. Perhaps he was being a bit too forward by bringing her on this date... but it's not like he possessed much patience after restraining himself from seeing her for such long periods. Humans are so unlike the gods. They have short lifespans in comparison and despite that, the god of love strives to make sure Y/n's life is filled with sweet devotion.
"Of course not," Cupid shook his head after a beat of silence. "You look wonderful." He carefully reassured her.
At his words, Y/n visibly relaxed and beamed with perceptible happiness. "Thank you." She replied.
"My pleasure," Cupid said as the mortal exited her apartment, making sure to close and lock the door behind her. "And if you don't mind, the restaurant is just down the street. So... we're walking." The other reasons why he wanted to talk there were as clear as day. One, he didn't have a car, and two... he wanted to spend more time with Y/n. Even if they aren't talking, being in her presence is an award in itself.
With Cupid not far behind her, Y/n stepped out of her apartment complex, feeling a mixture of excitement and nerves. As they walked down the bustling street, the god of love glanced at Y/n, a warm smile playing on his lips.
The evening air was crisp, carrying a hint of romance. Y/n couldn't help but steal glances at Cupid, trying to process the fact that someone as beautiful as this stranger before her had chosen her for this special night. They reached their destination: a grand, multi-story building adorned with marble pillars and cascading fountains. As soon as they stepped into the lobby, Y/n's breath caught in her throat.
The interior of the restaurant was a breathtaking sight to behold. The high ceilings were adorned with intricate chandeliers, their shimmering crystals casting a soft, ethereal glow over the room. Delicate strands of fairy lights intertwined with greenery, creating a magical atmosphere. The walls were adorned with murals depicting scenes of love and passion, skillfully painted in vibrant hues that seemed to come alive.
