Penguin • PARK SUNGHOON

You loved animals, specifically penguins. You knew everything about them, ranging from big to small.

Today you were planning to go on a date with your boyfriend, Sunghoon. He picked you up around the afternoon, taking you to a nearby zoo. Once you guys made it to the zoo, you guys headed straight toward the mammals, passing by many giraffes, zebras, lions, and more. You kept your eyes peeled open in hope of seeing penguins, but for some reason didn't find any. You sulked as you were anticipating to see the small creatures all week, Sunghoon noticed your change of mood, he quickly drags you to an open bench, sitting you down as he held your hand

"You good penguin?" Sunghoon questions, trying to make eye contact with you. You shook your head yes in response, you didn't want to ruin the moment just because of some animals

"I'm fine, just kind of tired" you reply, Sunghoon knew you were lying, but he didn't want to push it

"Do you want me to take you home?" Sunghoon asks, he had something planned, but he didn't want to over-limit you if you were tired

"I'm good, lets just enjoy the rest of the day yeah?" You smile, standing up as you kept your grip on Sunghoon's hand. Sunghoon gave a small smile, standing up beside you as he shook his head

"I'll take you to one more place then, I'm sure that'll brighten your mood" Sunghoon says, now dragging you towards a secluded area. You tilted your head in confusion, the animals were the other way was it not? As you guys walked deeper into the area, less people started appearing, soon leaving just you and Sunghoon.

"Uh Sunghoon, where are we?" You whisper, it was dark but your could still kind of see what was ahead of you, you gripped onto Sunghoon's hand tighter as you were attempting to get closer

"We're almost there just wait one more second" Sunghoon answers, just then a light flickers on, you jump slightly along with a shriek as a spotlight was put above you, you quickly close you eyes shut, scared of what could pop up. Sunghoon's deep laugh was heard from beside you, his arms now hanging around your shoulders

"You can open your eyes now Y/N" he says, you then start to open your eyes slowly, your sight adjusting to the brightness, as you were finally able to see, you gasped in excitement

"You're kidding!" You exclaim, you grinned happily as you saw a pool of penguins swimming around and flapping sloppy in front of you, they were adorable!

"Surprise!" Sunghoon grins, you looked at him as you flung yourself against him

"Thank you Hoon!!" You squeal, Sunghoon patted your back as he let out an airy laugh

"Anything for you" Sunghoon replies, letting go of the hug. You looked into his eyes as you let out a small giggle

"You're amazing Sunghoon, thank you for being my penguin" you say with a gummy smile, Sunghoon mirrors your expression as he gives you a kiss. He then makes eye contact with you again, a sweet smile displayed on his lips

"And thank you for being mine"
