Convenience Store • NISHIMURA RIKI

You and your friend, Mia, were currently making your way to the convenience store as it was currently lunch time, the both of you somehow stupid enough to forget your lunch on the same day.

"We really need to discuss who brings lunch on which days" Mia says, you smile at her comment as a small giggle escapes your mouth, you shook your head slightly before responding

"I thought we agreed that you'd bring it today? If I remember, you said, and I quote, "Y/N you're such an angel! As a thank you, allow me to bring lunch tomorrow!" you said that yesterday, during lunch too!" You say, Mia opens her mouth in attempt to stand up for herself but quickly shuts up as she realizes you were right

"Damn it, fine, you win!" Mia exclaims, you laugh at her reaction as you tangle your arm with hers, a smile forming on the ladders face.

"As a sorry for forgetting lunch today, I'll pay for you" Mia offers, you couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at her, that was the exact thing she said yesterday and look at them now

"And I mean it this time! I have my money!" Mia retorts, she aggressively waves her money pouch as the sound of coins clashing were heard from inside the bag

"Alright then" You shrug, you then stop in front of a shop as you notice it was the convenience store, you quickly enter the shop, Mia being dragged behind as she entered through the doors after you.

"Just go and find your things, meet me at the cashier after finding everything" Mia says, you shake your head to notify the girl that you understood before going toward the snack area. You first start by looking around the area in attempt of finding your favorite bag of chips, luckily you found the exact brand.

As you reach your hands up to grab it, the sight of the delicious substance soon disappeared from your sight of view as a hand was now covering it. You followed the hand up to its owner to see a unfamiliar yet familiar boy holding onto it

"Uhm, excuse me, but I was grabbing that-"

"I already got it."

You open your mouth in shock, excuse me?

"What do you mean you already got it? It's still on the shelf as you can see" You respond, the boy looks down at your figure as he tilts his head, there was an obvious height difference between you and the boy so that didn't really help your confidence.

"I touched it so I got it" The boy responds, you furrow your eyes in anger

"How is that even logical?" You exclaim, the boy lets out an amusing scoff as he now stood face to face toward you, you keep a stern look on your face as you continued staring into the boy's eyes, not a single speck of fear tingling in your heart.

"It's logical because I bought it" the boy adds

you tilt your head as you leaned closer, you really didn't want to start an unneeded argument. You wait a few seconds longer as you press your lips together, you soon think of an idea, it was childish but oh well. You take in a deep breath before getting ready to do whatever you had planned. You shot you eyes back onto the boy as you stand up

"The person allowing me to take the bag say what"

"What"

You quickly snatch the bag of chips from the boy's hand as you dash away, you really hoped your accusation was right and the boy was indeed just standing still as he processed what was happening. You then try to look for Mia, thankfully, she was already at the cashier

"Finally! What took you so long-" Mia was quickly cut off as you grabbed her by the hand

"Not now!" You say, you smile sheepily as you turned toward the cashier
