Y/n and Hagrid make our way toward the train station's crossing bridge at King's Cross Station. Y/n has a cart of belongings, equipment, and Hedwig in tow.
A couple glares at Hagrid suspiciously, to which he retorts, "What're you looking at?"
Suddenly, Hagrid realizes the time and apologizes to me as he has to leave to meet Dumbledore. With ten minutes remaining until the train's departure, Hagrid hands Y/n a ticket and urge her to stick to it. Y/n examines the ticket and is puzzled to see that their platform is 9¾. She looks up to ask Hagrid about it, but he has vanished, and Y/n is left alone with her cart. As she makes his way between trains, a man rushes by.
" Sorry." A man said
y/n spots a guard.
"Excuse me, sir. Can you direct me to Platform 9¾?"
"9¾? Do you think you're being funny do ya?" He scoffed and walked away
"Well geez thanks for being so rude" I glared at the man
[I then notice a family - a mother, daughter, and four boys - walk by, pushing carts. I overheard them saying]
"It's always the same every year, packed with Muggles, of course."
"Muggles?"
"Follow me, Platform 9¾ is this way. All right, Percy, you go first."
[A tall boy with red hair, named Percy, steps forward and charges toward a brick wall. To y/n's amazement, he disappears right through it.]
While in the company of the Weasley family, I couldn't help but notice the mischievous glint in the eyes of the twin brothers as they looked at me. I smiled back, and my heart raced as the twins disappeared through the wall. With some guidance from Mrs. Weasley, I summoned my courage, shut my eyes, and ran straight at the wall. To my amazement, I emerged on the other side to see the Hogwarts Express and bustling crowds. I boarded the train, found an empty compartment, and eagerly awaited the start of my life. I then heard a knock
"Excuse me, do you mind? Everywhere else is full."
"Of course not."
A boy with red hair with freckles sat in front of me
"I'm Ron, by the way. Ron Weasley."
"I'm Y/n. Y/n Grimblehawk."
"Is it really true? Do you have the scar?"
"What scar?"
" [whispers] The scar..."
"Oh," I say as I lift my bangs to reveal it.
Suddenly, we heard another knock on the door. Ron and I quickly turned our heads toward the sound, eager to see who it was. As it turned out, it was the twins who entered the room with mischievous grins on their faces. They took a seat beside me, leaving me slightly confused.
Ron introduced them as his brothers, George and Fred. I was about to introduce myself, but they beat me to it. "Y/n Grimblehawk," they both said in unison.
I was surprised by their knowledge of my name and couldn't help but laugh. I wondered if I was more popular than I thought.
"Anyway, we just wanted to see Grimblehawk. Best be off now," they said. "Oh, and good luck with the Sorting Hat. It may hurt a bit, but don't worry about it," they added before leaving. I looked at Ron with a worried expression on my face.
"Do you think they were being serious?" I asked.
"I'm not sure," Ron replied uncertainly.
As the train to Hogwarts chugged along, a boy with messy black hair, green eyes, and glasses knocked on the compartment door. "Can I sit here?" he asked.
"Of course, you're welcome to join us," I replied.
"My name is Ron Weasley, and this is Y/n Grimblehawk. What's your name?" Ron continued.
"Harry Potter," the boy replied, settling into the seat next to Ron.
"Your name sounds familiar, Harry. Have we met before?" I asked, curious.
Harry laughed nervously. "Yeah, I get that a lot. It's a pretty common name."
"I see"
Harry, Ron, and I were discussing our excitement to attend Hogwarts, and we made a pact to remain friends regardless of which houses we were sorted into.
[A girl called, with bushy brown hair, dressed in robes, appears at the doorway.]
"Has anyone seen a toad? A boy named Neville lost one."
"Nope."
"Holy Cricket, you're Y/n Grimblehawk! I'm Hermione Granger, and you two are...?"
"Ron Weasley"
"Harry Potter"
"Pleasure You three better change into your robes. I expect we'll be arriving soon," she said before leaving.
"She looks smart" I laughed
"I don't think she's that great, She's going to be a nightmare, mark my words."
"Don't be so harsh, Ron. I would like to be friends with her," I objected.
"I'm not trying to be harsh, Y/n, but just wait and see. Hermione, or whatever her name is, she bound to be annoying," Ron retorted.
I turned to Harry for his opinion, hoping for a more positive outlook.
"I don't know, Ron. She seems nice enough. Why don't you give her a chance?" Harry suggested.
"Yeah, what he said," I added with a sigh.
"Be nice, Ron," I said, just as the whistle of the Hogwarts train sounded in the distance.
