***** The Next Day *****

Early the next morning Bailey came over to Jolie's house because it was finally the day of her big makeover. Jolie's Mom Stacy was even more excited about it than Jolie and Bailey were.

"Yay! I can't wait to see you get transformed into a beautiful butterfly just like Jolie did!" she squealed, clapping her hands. "I packed us each breakfast for the road so we can head out. Peoria's an hour away and we don't want to be late for your eye doctor appointment!" she said, handing them each a breakfast bag and ushering them outside and over to the White Range Rover.

Jolie took the front seat this time and her Mom turned on some Alternative Rock music and sang along to it the whole way there. The visit at the optometrist didn't take long and pretty soon Bailey had her new contacts in and they were on their way.

When they pulled into the parking lot of the salon Bailey said, "I'm so nervous Jolie. I've never done any color treatments on my hair before. What if it doesn't look right on red hair?"

"Don't worry. These people are the best. They know what they're doing," she reassured her.

When they walked in the salon, Jolie was happy to see the same man and woman there that did her makeover.

Her Mom walked over to them and said, "This young lady is going to need the works, just like you did with Jolie; highlights, hair styled, makeup done, sunless tanner, eyebrows shaped and anything else you think she needs. I trust you."

"We'll get right on it," the male stylist nodded. "When we get done with her she's going to be a stunning beauty with this beautiful red hair and this skin tone. Just you wait and see."

"Perfect! Thank you. And if you'll teach her how to do everything as you go along like you did with Jolie. we'll buy the makeup and hair products you use so she can recreate it at home," Jolie's Mom said smiling.

"Won't all of that be really expensive?" Bailey asked hesitantly. "You already bought me contacts."

"Oh don't worry about that. Like I told you before, I'm paying for the whole thing sweetie. Or I should say my ex is paying for it," she laughed.

"What do you mean?" Bailey asked.

"I get a big, fat alimony check from my soon to be ex-husband every month. I might as well spend it making myself and the people around me happy. Heaven knows, all that lying, cheating pig and his family ever did was make me miserable for the last ten years. He might as well bring me some kind of happiness."

Bailey gave her a sympathetic smile and said, "Well thank you Mrs. Watson. I really appreciate all of this so much. You have no idea."

"You're welcome," Stacy smiled. "And all of this was Jolie's idea, so she's really the one you should be thanking."

Bailey turned and pulled Jolie into a tight hug and she saw tears welling up in her eyes. "Thank you," she sniffled against her shoulder. "No one's ever done anything like this for me before."

Jolie patted her back and smiled.

"You're welcome Bailey. I can't think of anybody that deserves it more than you."

The beautician walked over and asked, "So are we ready to get started?"

Bailey looked between Jolie and her Mom before hesitantly saying, "Yeah, I'm ready," and following him over to the chair, looking nervous. Jolie really hoped it would turn out good.

"You ladies go run along and we'll text you when she's ready so that way it can be a surprise," the female assistant said.

To kill time Jolie and her Mom decided to go shopping at the mall for jewelry to go with their Homecoming dresses and three hours later her Mom got a text saying that Bailey was ready and they headed back. When they walked into the shop, Bailey was sitting down facing away from them and the beautician spun the chair around and Jolie and her Mom both gasped, covering their mouths.
