"Hey, [Y/N]nnie! You're here already?"

A gust of wind picks up shortly after you step inside Yujin's house, carrying the telltale smell of an impending rain. You'll give it an hour or two before it starts. From the looks of it, tonight will be a downpour. A much needed one considering there had been no rain ever since spring semester.

You kick your shoes off, placing them to the side before walking into the empty living room. Yujin's parents weren't home, most likely working outside of town. On instinct, your feet move you to her room. It's only been a couple days since you last slept over, but her room looked and smelled relatively better than last time. The floor was spotless; clothes are properly hung up or folded neatly in drawers; and shoes are neatly put away in their rightful place. She really took the time to clean her room probably knowing that you would scold her again if her sleeping quarters had been messier than last time.

"Want something to drink, [Y/N]nnie? Something to eat? I know you've been working and studying hard, so allow me to make you something."

Yujin rolled up the sleeves of her blue sweatshirt, tying her hair into a neat ponytail right after. You hate to admit it, but she sure knows how to rock a simple outfit. If there was a mall nearby, everyone would most likely think Yujin was a familiar model you'd see on TV advertisements, or a well-known idol in the entertainment industry. You shook your head, both in admiration and disregard–Yujin was some looker alright.

"Hello? Earth to [Y/N]? Does kimchi fried rice sound good to you?"

Her face, her lips, her breath are mere inches away from your own. It's a sudden impulsive thing to do and, had you responded earlier, Yujin wouldn't even dare to do such a thing. But what if you caught the unknown illness that was spreading all throughout the village? Yujin had to make sure you were alright–that you weren't the next victim. She's already lost her best friend, and the puppy couldn't bear the thought of losing you as well.

"Why do you look so red? Are you catching a fever? You should really give yourself a break from all that studying you do. At least your uncle is rational enough to have you take off today. Come on, let's get you some water and we can go from there, yeah?"

Her hand snakes around your waist, whereas the other takes your bag and shoulders the weight of it. Though you know you shouldn't, her warmth...her scent...they grounded you. Why does this feel so...intoxicating?

"Does dinner in bed sound good? I bet that sounds nice, doesn't it? You're so lucky to have me, [Y/N]nnie.~"

She is intoxicating.

"I... I guess that sounds okay."

Way to go, dimwit. You sound like an ungrateful bastard.

When awareness returns to you, in a rush of sounds and colors, it's her toothy grin that grips you. It's a striking contrast; this one's softer, kinder. Though worry slightly mars her voice, there's nothing in it but genuine concern. She guides you to the extra mattress that's already been prepped and laid out next to her own bed. And as soon as the fluffy blankets touch your sore muscles, Yujin reminds you to stay put while she makes you your soon-to-be dinner.
