"Chloe get down here" I heard from my room so I put my book down and ran down the steps to see my parents,Evie ,and her parents

"Yes is everything ok" they nodded then my dad patted the couch next to him so I went and took a seat next to him "so you and Eden have been out of school for a week now and Mr.Jordan and I just got a call from the state today asking us what's going on

And you know we have been searching for private school all over for the past week now and we have found nothing" he literally means everywhere he even looked into boarding schools but all private academy were full do to it being

Late in the year I literally have like 6 months left of school it's January "we have tried talking to them but nothing works so it pains me to say that we will have to send you two to public school"

I got so excited but I couldn't show it I had to play it off and so did Evie she grabbed my hand and squeezed in excitement and I returned her squeeze but I had to act cool

"Daddy no public school really" my dad looked like he was about to cry "I'm sorry baby the only school that had openings were military schools and y'all don't deserve that y'all are good kids so starting Monday y'all will be attending

Westbrook high school because due to how much money we lost we were still looking out for y'all's education but we also have to watch out money so This seemed like a good school to choose

Sister Kelly says her daughter Nyah goes there the one on the youth choir she could show y'all around make y'all comfortable she's a good kid I hope that school is to blame for it"

I started to get less excited because I don't wanna be at the same school as Nyah that sounds terrible so I looked over to Evie seeing that her excitement dropped to "that's great daddy does this school have uniforms to"

Please say no please say no "no they don't momma and Ms.Jordan are gonna take y'all shopping for new clothes and take y'all to get y'all's hair done" oh no I don't like shopping with my mom it's torture

But maybe it will be done today because I'm not looking for church clothes or a uniform because that's all I wear minus my pajamas "so when are we going" I then looked at my momma who didn't look happy at all

"We are going to get clothes today but don't think since your changing school you will be dressing any less then holy do you here my Chloe" I wanted to role my eyes but I didn't because I know better

My mom is what you call a dramatic queen like when my brother came home with his ears pierced she had a heart attack like a literal one she was in the hospital for a week

She's more good fearing then my dad and he's a pastor my mom does not let me do anything at all like one time she even tried to stop me from hanging out with Evie because my mom said she looked like a witch

When I'm all actuality her mom started to let her wear light makeup like eyeliner,mascara,eyeshadow,and lipgloss mean while if I put on to much chapstick I'll get punished for it

"Yes momma but can we get some jeans and regular tee shirt's instead of blouses and dresses" she made a face "why would you wanna do something like that" I basically live in dresses,skirts,and blouses

"I just wanna try something new and if I don't have to wear that stuff I would just prefer not to if that's ok with you" Evie looked over at her parents and asked the same thing

We just wanna change a little bit int a lot and we aren't even changing ourselves just our clothes "I suppose so baby girl but I don't want you wearing any of those shirts that show your bellybutton or nun of them holy jeans so you here me"

My dad said and I got up and hugged him "thank you daddy thank you thank you thank you" he smiled back at me and said "your welcome baby" but when I looked over at my mom she looked upset

"What's wrong momma are you ok" she looked at me with an attitude then said "we'll since your father wants to make decisions without me he can tell you the other new by himself I need a second if you would all excuse me"

While Ms.Jordan followed her seeing as though they are good friends but since I knew my momma was in good hands me and Evie turned to our dads with confused faces

"What was momma talking about other new is it bad news" my dad smiled as he shook his head "Chloe your my baby girl but your also growing up you just turned 18 and we have been swaddling you so to get you and Evie a push start on life me and Mr.Jordan thought it would be a good idea to"

He paused then reached in his pocket Mr.Jordan doing the same and to say I was extremely confused was a understatement but after a few seconds our dads pulled something out their pockets then

Grabbed my wrist dropping it into our hands and when we opened our hands up it was two car keys we looked up at our dads in pure shock "OH MY GOD" i said as I hopped up but then I covered my mouth I didn't mean to say gods name in vain

My dad just chuckled as he stood up and gave me a hug "you deserve it baby now go check out your new rides"
