-Doctor-

Bethany screams loudly as she leans against the base of the bed, then hangs her head, per my instructions.

And she said she couldn't scream.

Funny.

The invisible door opens and several armed females enter the room. One of them crouches to examine Bethany while the others search the room. I do well to stay out of their way and they miss me easily.

"She's dead." She tells the others before standing and helping them search. They all exchange somber looks as I stiffle a laugh.

I step over to the door, examining the panel that is visible while the door is open.

Nothing I haven't seen before.

I press a few buttons and pull out my sonic. "Now!"

Bethany lets out another scream, louder this time and higher piched, and the Cobbleen collapse, clutching their knees and dropping their weapons.

She then jumps up and runs out the door, with me following close behind. I sonic the panel on the other side and seal the door, shorting the mechanism out.

-Bethany-

I hear the Doctor using his sonic for something, who knows what, but I just keep running like he told me to.

Well...as best I can, anyway. He made me change back into the stupid dress, and there's no way I'm letting go of the slit.

Soon, though, I feel someone grab my wrist and the Doctor is suddenly pulling me to the side of the corridor. He opens a door and rushes in, pulling me with him.

He shuts the door and releases my wrist. I look around, noting that we're in a closet.

"Uh...Doc? Why are we in a closet?"

He appears abruptly, shushes me, and presses his ear to the door, reaching back and handing me my normal clothes. "Hurry. We've only got a couple minutes."

I sigh and try to change out of the dress again as fast as I can. Thank goodness for his Time Lord pockets.

Although.

How he got my clothes into his pocket in the first place is beyond me.

"Why did they think I was dead?" I ask, still curious.

"This species is very sheltered. Hardly ever been exposed to other species. They only know how to tell if their own species is dead for sure. All we had to do was stop your breathing, which is all they know to look for as a sure sign, and they immediately assumed."

"Oh."

Seems kind of simple, if you ask me, but hey. Whatever gets us out, I suppose. And it did.

Well. Out of my room, anyway. We still have to get out of this building.

"Done."

"Good. Just throw the dress wherever you like. We need to go."

I sigh and toss the dress over my shoulder, not paying any attention to where it lands. "Why don't you put it in your pocket? We might be able to use it later."

"What for? Leave it."

I turn and search for it, picking it back up when I find it. "Well, I think we can use it later for something. I don't know what, but then you never do."

He sighs and outstretches his hand behind him. I look at it, then put the dress in his hand.

He turns and frowns at it, then drops it and holds his hand out again. I give him a confused look and he sighs again before taking something out of his pocket, disappearing and taking hold of my wrist, reappearing.
