Frank can't remember when was the last time he had a full night of sleep.

And the second he wakes up, he smiles thinking of Gerard. Of that kiss. Gerard's warmth still lingers on his lips, and he remembers the way it felt when Gerard was breathing on his face. And Gerard's perfume is all he can think about.

Last night, Frank had to jump off the car right away, God forbid he would have never left and they would still be there. It felt so good. Having him so close, kissing him, giggling nervously, and the way it tickled when Gerard whispered in his ear. After the kiss, they didn't say much. What else were they supposed to say?

But Gerard promised to call him.

'C'mon, Lois,' Frank calls his dog. 'Let's go to work.'

He doesn't know how he was supposed to go on, now. All he could think about was Gerard. He wanted to run to his place and kiss him again, and never let go. But it's time to go back to reality.

After Lois' morning walk, he takes a shower and has breakfast with his mom. He decides not to tell her anything. He's way too excited, and he knows that the moment he opens his mouth, even if it's just to talk about work or their plans for the weekend, he was going to spill the beans about everything. Linda is telling him about going to the mall with her friends, when Frank's phone vibrates with a notification.

A text.

He can't help but give it his entire attention, checking it right away, in case it's Gerard. And it is.

Morning :)

A smile forms on his face, and Frank keeps reading the text over and over, doing his best not to scream in excitement.

'What's his name?' Linda asks.

Frank can't even fake it. His eyes are all sparkly and he can't stop smiling. But he doesn't say anything, and just gives her a look. He's not going to tell her that she was right all along. That there was a special someone who makes him happy to be alive. But he doesn't want to ruin it before it even starts.

Linda just smiles at him, and pinches his cheek. 'I'm so happy for you, Frank. I love seeing you this happy.'

Frank doesn't want to cry right now, so he just rolls his eyes at her in an attempt to make a joke about it.

And while Linda takes the dishes to the sink, Frank texts Gerard back. Morning :)

I hope you have a great day, Gerard's text reads. I can't wait to see you.

Me too.

It's going to be a long day.

I can't wait until I don't have to deal with teenagers for a few months, Gerard texts Frank. He's taking a break before his last class of the day, eating a burrito in his car.

I thought you loved being a teacher.

I do, but tbh, teenagers scare the living shit out of me.

Haha me too.

They've been texting back and forth since last night, because Frank couldn't sleep, so he had texted him saying that he missed him, and they haven't stopped since. Talking about whatever comes up, but Gerard has ten minutes before he has to go back, and the thought of not talking to Frank for the next couple hours is killing him.

Just then, another message pops up. When is your last day?

Wednesday.

Two more days and you'll be free!
