I pull up Preston's livestream and watch it, chuckling at their idiocy. Preston agreed to go to Starbucks with me, so he will probably be ending in the next 40 minutes or so....
I still can't believe that this is happening to me. To me. A girl that was abused and bullied, and almost violated, a girl with too much pain, living with her favorite youtuber. So far, I am loving this new life thing.
I guess I was deep in thought, because Preston shakes me. "You ready to go?" He asks.
"Yeah bro," I respond, getting up and grabbing my purse. I loop my arm through his. "Let's go!"
---------------------------------------------
We sit down, and I order my favorite; the classic hazelnut coffee. Man, I've been needing this the past couple days.I look at Preston, who has ordered a frappuccino. He looks worried.
"What's wrong?" I ask him.
"My ex from three years ago... She was really competitive and still is. She hates me. Can you... Um... Pretend to be my girlfriend?" He asks.
"Oh yeah, totally." I respond. I look in the direction he was looking in, and it's none other than Sara. She's shooting nasty looks in our direction, holding a blonde's hand.
Preston grabs my hand, and I turn back to face him. "Would you be okay if I... Um..." He trails off running the back of his neck with his other hand.
"Completely," I respond.
Preston pulls me closer, and I stare into his eyes. I can feel his frappuccino breath on my face. He leans in closer, and our lips connect. Our lips move in sync, like they were made for each other. My stomach has butterflies forming, and I can't help but smile.
This is Preston Blaine Arsement, kissing me. I don't care if he is only doing this because his ex is here. The only thing that matters is this moment.
He pulls back, and I sit back in my chair. I have nothing to say, so we just stare at each other until I am shoved out of my seat by a rough pair of hands. I fall on the floor, on my butt.
"Cait, you okay?" He asks.
"Fine," I respond. I look up to see none other than Sara. She is smirking. She is also alone. Her boyfriend probably dumped her. I realize now that I've fallen on my broken arm. I cry out in pain.
"Oh Caitlin," Preston says, falling to my side. He helps me stand up and sit down in the seat across from a very pleased-looking Sara.
"Whatcha looking at?" I ask, gaining confidence.
"I don't know what I'm looking at, maybe a piece of garbage sitting next to this jag?" She responds, smirking.
I clench my fists and look down. Preston puts his hand on my inner thigh.
"Nobody talks to my girlfriend like that," He states.
"Oh, well last time I checked #poofless was very real," She retorts.
"Wooflan was too strong, and plus, I found someone better." Preston says back.
"Can ya fudge off mate?" I barge in.
"Nah, I like fighting with you two, it's fun," She happily responds.
"You're fudged up," I state.
"So are you," She retorts.
I respond with an answer she wasn't expecting. "I know I'm fudged up, but you obviously don't. Now leave."
"Yeah, go away." Preston responds.
She glares at us and then walks away. I look at Preston and we smile at each other. I laugh and high five him, but he pulls me in for a hug.
"Thank you," He whispers.
