Harry shifted nervously in his seat, his eyes locked on the stage and smile unmissable.
"You good H?" Niall snickered as he leaned over to him.
"I'm so excited," Harry's dimples fully appeared, trying not to jump, "today is huge for him."
Both Niall and Liam looked at him softly, their own grins just as noticeable as the curly haired man's.
Harry has been bouncing off the walls since he woke up, and finally being in the full auditorium at Berklee only enthused him more. Louis is graduating, and he knows how big of a deal this was for his boyfriend.
Despite it being a Friday Harry shut the restaurant down to make sure they could have a proper boys night to celebrate Louis. He was so incredibly proud of him, and there was no denying he may shed a few tears seeing Louis walk the stage.
"Oh, oh, it's starting," Harry quickly tapped the boys on either side of him as the lights went low.
They both rolled their eyes but sat up a bit straighter as the music started and graduates began walking in.
Harry turned in his seat, his eyes locked on the right side, knowing the older man would be in that line. The longer he didn't see him the more his heart was thudding, but as soon as he saw his boyfriend in his cap and gown he was on his feet.
"Harry!" Liam hissed, but his friend slapped his hand away and pulled out his phone.
He had no shame being the only one standing, and Louis was beet red seeing him taking photo after photo. Harry wanted to capture everything, but once he couldn't get a good picture of Louis both Niall and Liam tugged him to sit.
"Don't be embarrassing," the brown eyed man muttered to him.
"Shut up, he's my boyfriend. I can embarrass him as much as I want," Harry rolled his eyes, "he loves the attention anyway."
Liam hummed, a sly smile coming over him, "not the only thing he loves," he said under his breath.
Harry's head snapped to him, his heart skipping a beat, "what?" he whispered and leaned in close to him, "did he say something or-"
"Oh come on H, he loves being with you. I haven't seen him home in months."
He felt his cheeks heat up, anything having to do with "love" and "Louis" got Harry's pulse racing.
"You should tell him mate, you know he'd say it back," Niall was eavesdropping but wanted to add in.
Harry slightly cleared his throat, "tell him what?"
"That you love him and want him to move in," Niall said as if it was obvious.
The green eyed man was quiet for a second though, his gaze falling to his lap, "it's too soon..."
"Fuck that," both Liam and Niall said at the same time, and as soon as they did they were beaming at each other.
"Guys it's only been two and a half months-"
"Only technically, but it's really been four months," Liam pointed out.
Harry bit his lip, his friends seeming confident that taking those big steps would go well. He's been thinking for weeks that he was ready, but he didn't want to overwhelm his boyfriend with too much at once. Those three words and moving in is a lot of commitment, but Harry was more than ready for it. Hearing Liam and Niall it sounded like Louis felt the same.
"I'll tell him," Harry breathed out as he nodded, "I can do it, I know I can," he gave himself a little pep talk.
Niall looked at him adoringly, leaning past his mate just enough so Liam could see him mouth, "he's so cute."
