The police, medics, and firefighters all get to the scene. The medics roll out Mindy on a stretcher. Sam looks over and sees Mindy being rolled out. She walks over to her.

"Hey." Sam grabs Mindy's hand.
"Hey." She whispers back.
"She's gonna be ok." The medic tells Sam.
Sam let's go and the medic continues to take her.

She sees Chad and gives him a thumbs up. He gave her one back. Sam looks at their encounter and smiles. She then walks over to Tara.

"Can you take us to a different hospital this time?" Tara asks the doctor. They say yes.
Sam grabs onto her hand and sighs.
"You ready to go?" Tara asks.
Sam slightly nods and pats Tara's hand.

Sam then looks over at Sidney, Gale, and Gabbie in the back of the ambulance all huddled up. She walks over to them.

"Sidney, Gale, Gabbie, thank you, for everything. Are you gonna be alright?" Sam says.
"We'll survive. We always do." Sidney smiles.
"You were right about not running."
"Yeah, sorry about that." Sidney smiles.

Sam looks towards Gale.
"How are you doing?"
"Ask me in a few days. But, at least I know what I'm gonna write about."
"What's that?"
"Not this. These fuckers can die in anonymity. But maybe something about a good man who used to be the sheriff here once."
"I'd like to read that story." Sidney smiles.

"How about you Gabbie, how you holding up?" Sam asks.
"I'll be ok. I'm just gonna need a lot of therapy." Gabbie giggles.

"Can I ask you a weird question?" Sam asks.
"Yeah." Sid agrees.
"Am I gonna be ok?"
"Eventually."
Sam smiles at them before going back to Tara. Sam goes into the back of the ambulance with Tara and they both leave.

Meanwhile, Sidney, Gale, and Gabbie start to talk.
"How are you, Gabs?" Gale asks her daughter.
Gabbie just looks in her mother's eyes before starting to sob. Gale wraps her arms around Gabbie.

"I miss dad." Gabbie mutters to her mom.
"I know, it's gonna be hard." Gale whispers.
Gabbie continues to cry into her mom's shoulder.

That night, Gale brings Gabbie to her father's trailer to get her things. They pack up the car and say goodbye to Woodsboro, for forever.

Sidney goes her separate way and Gale and Gabbie go back to New York.

The next day

Gale and Gabbie sit on the couch together. They just got home from shooting Gale's morning show. Gabbie leans her shoulder on her mom's shoulder. Gale holds Gabbie's hand in hers.

"I love you, mom."
"I love you too, babygirl."
Gabbie starts to tear up again.
"Hey." Gale whispers before wrapping her arms around Gabbie.

Gabbie cries and Gale comforts her. Gale starts to tear up too.
"When will I get over dad's death?" Gabbie asks her mom.
"I don't know if you ever will. He was a big part of your life. He was an amazing and caring father. It's normal to cry about him not being here anymore." Gale rubs Gabbie's arm.

Gabbie slowly starts to drift asleep in her mom's arms. Gale smiles down at her daughter.

1 hour later

Gabbie wakes up and feels herself in Gale's embrace. She looks up at her mom. Gale feels Gabbie move and looks down to check on her.
"Good morning sleepyhead." Gale jokes.
"How long was I asleep?" Gabbie asks.
"Little over an hour."

"Can I talk to you about something?" Gabbie asks.
"Sure."
"I was thinking about applying to Blackmore University. I was talking about it with the group chat I ended up in with Tara, Sam, Chad, and Mindy. They're all applying there too."
"I think it's a great idea. You'll have friends to protect you and care for you."
"And it's only a half an hour away so I can come visit you."
"That's great."

"I think I should go start my application essay."
"Ok, I'll be in my office while you do that."

Gabbie goes into her room and looks up the criteria for the essay. She starts to write down some ideas. Soon, she begins to write the essay.

1 hour later

Gabbie turns in her essay. The website said her results should be come in a few weeks. Gabbie decides to go check in on her mom. She peaks in her office and sees her writing.

Gabbie comes fully into the room.
"Hey mom, what are you doing in here?" Gabbie asks.
"Nothing." Gale says as she quickly shuts her notebook.
"You're hiding something." Gabbie says as she comes closer.
"No, I'm not."

Gabbie snatched the notebook off of Gale's desk. She opens it and sees her making notes for another book about the new Ghostface tragedy instead of a book about her father.

"Mom." Gabbie muttered as a tear leaves her eye.
"Gabs." Gale tries to grab onto Gabbie, but Gabbie moves away.
"What about dad? You said you weren't gonna write shit like this anymore." Gabbie continues crying.
"I lied! Ok! I didn't mean it. All I know how to write are these books. I don't know how to talk about your dad in a book. I need these books to keep up my reputation."
"Who cares about your reputation?"
"I do."

Gabbie throws the notebook onto the floor and fast walks to her room. Gale puts her head in her hands and sighs.
"God damnit, Gale." Gale muttered to herself.

2 hours later

Gale slowly opens the door to Gabbie's room.
"Gabbie." She whispers.
Gabbie turns away from her mom. Gale walks over to her bed and lays her hand on Gabbie's arm.
"I didn't mean to hurt you." Gale whispers.
Gabbie slowly turns around to face her mom.

"I was overreacting. You can write whatever you want. I guess anything to do with dad is a upsetting subject. I want you to be happy. You're always happy when you're writing."
"Thank you for supporting me and being with me on this." Gale smiles.
"I love you, mom."
"I love you, too"
