"To the small council of King Viserys Targaryen the First,

I, Visenya Targaryen, the alleged daughter of Rhaenyra Targaryen and Laenor Velaryon, come before you with this request for justice."

Aemond nodded. "Strong start."

Visenya nodded and kept reading. "It has been speculated for years that I was not the trueborn daughter of  Ser Laenor, and I come with the truth. I am not the daughter of Ser Laenor, but rather the product of an affair from before my mother married. I had often heard of my mother's love for her uncle, Daemon Targaryen. Once they married after Laenor Velaryon's death, they both confirmed their prior affair and the truth of my parentage. I request that the truth of  my parentage be made in exchange for my legitimacy and titles as Princess Visenya Targaryen, second of her name, even without my marriage to Prince Aemond Targaryen."

Aemond sat for a few moments, running her words through his head. "You have to know how this will end."

"For me?" Visenya asked.

"And for your brothers. If you expose this scandal, you are also opening up the truth about your brother's paternity. This could prematurely start a war before the king is dead. And you and I both know how that will go if the king is alive."

Visenya nervously wrung her hands, then spun the rings on her fingers, a nervous habit she picked up from her mother. "This is all so complicated."

"What else did you and my mother discuss?" Aemond asked.

"She asked if you are were fucking the right way for a babe," She rolled her eyes. "I told her my bleeding was still irregular."

"Have you bled since we married?" He asked.

"It's been erratic. I will bleed for a day then again a couple of weeks later. Brella said it is quite normal for a new woman. Alicent can't expect me to carry a child after my first blood. No wonder so many women die during childbirth or lose their babes. I won't be destined to be some broodmare, I was not put into this world to be a concubine or two-legged womb. I have to believe that I was named after Visenya for a reason."

Aemond watched her silently, his aloof expression not giving his thoughts away. "Should you talk to a maester about the ... irregularities?"

"I don't want to talk to an old man about my bleeding, Aemond. You look awkward enough as it is."

"I have a sister, Visenya, I could care less about your bleeding. I am not my brother, the thought of a woman bleeding does not make me pale or wish to faint. You are my wife now, it is a part of your life, and therefore it is a part of mine."

"Ever the honorable man," Visenya huffed and set her papers down, reaching up to begin removing her braids. They had spent all afternoon talking about her conversation with Alicent and planning a draft for the letter. After dinner, they continued to do their own plotting. Now she was exhausted and ready for a dreamless slumber.
