Luke's POV:

I updated the first chapter again adding new characters GO READ THAT👹

When Margo survived the manticore attack I couldn't help but be slightly relieved. I wasn't really in the mood of dealing with another death. I saw Anathea blocking the attack, but she got brought off-balance. I jumped forward and slammed the manticore out of the way.

"Manticores are hard to kill but we are with four and that thing is with one. We can kill it if we-"

"We'll attack it from the sides while one of us distracts the thing. Their belly and neck is a soft spot. Small but available for my throwing knives." Heja interrupted me. I rolled my eyes. "Yeah that." Athena kids and their tactics. Of course, it's an advantage but do they really have to interrupt us each time for that? I was about to say something when the Manticore attacked from behind again. Now phase 1 of my plan could start. "Anathea, block it!" I yelled.

Even though I didn't knew Anathea very well I was clearly aware of how her thoughts are. A selfless little bitch, always puts others in front of her. If the manticore attacks her she'd rather block then duck because if she ducked the manticore's attention might go to her poor friends. (Shitty annoying accent intended).

And I was right. Anathea blocked instead of ducked. "Anathea, get out of the way!" I yelled. I wanted to scold her. Not because I was angry but because it was part of the plan. I was very well aware of the fact Heja's knives were magic, they didn't miss and would always hit bullseye. So did they now. The manticore exploded in green dust. But that didn't keep me from yelling at Anathea when she got out of the green yellowish stinking cloud that appeared and was already falling apart.

"What the hell were you thinking?!" I yelled immediately. "Why did you block, you were completely in her range! Heja said she'd try to hit the monster with her throwing knives! She could've hit you for the god's sake!"

I could see Anathea's facial expression change. Great. "Sorry." She said. Oh, she's tryna be tough, eh? Well she always does so it didn't really surprise me so yeah.

I decided to make matters just a tiny bit worse, knowing the girl would just brush it off instead of fight back.

"See, this is why Margo should've had your role. At least she'd be smart enough to actually help with our plan."

"Margo would've probably done it a whole lot better than I did, yeah." Oh my gods. If I could I would've laughed out loud. How stupid she is! I broke her on the inside, and we were both very well aware of it, and she just takes it in?! Is this how she handles every kind of situation like these? Ha! She's not gonna last very long, you know.

A/N: I truly hate myself for these words and I'll probably do so for this whole chapter but enjoy :)

"Anyways." Anathea said after a few seconds of silence. "I think we gotta leave this to the Mist and continue our quest." She said. She really thinks she can just change the subject like that? But Margo and Heja agreed so I did so as well.

We walked out of the train station. "Okay, Florida. Where the heck are we now." Heja said. After a second or so Heja said out of the blue: "Yeah no shit but maybe we have to be a little more precise shouldn't we?" I looked at Heja confused. No acting this time. Did someone say something? Considering Heja looked at Anathea maybe she meant it to her. But I didn't hear Anathea say anything.

"Heja that was a thought going through my head. Or did I say it out loud?" Anathea asked. Wait did Heja read Anathea's thoughts? I think Annabeth once told me about telepaths in the Athena cabin.
