Bea's POV
When I saw the five questers follow the spider donkey straight into one of the maze's entrances I also entered it through a different entrance. I wandered around, locating where everyone was. Heja was alone, Anathea was alone and Margo, Theo and Fenris were wandering around, yelling. I pulled out the magic string in my hand. It wasn't much. It looked like someone had just cut of a piece of yarn and gave it to me. But it did way more than just being to short to make anything with it.
As I twirled it around my fingers different colored strings started floating in my vision. Strings that'd help me navigate through the Labyrinth. Best birthday present ever from mom. Ariadne.
One green string would bring me to Anathea, I knew. And also knowing how she out of everyone would probably need me the most (she wouldn't but she'd probably be the least surprised) I decided to go there.
However, as I was walking I started feeling drowsy, like I was drunk. I tried to get some sugar out of my backpack, knowing I was low again. I sat down, ate the candy and forgetting I was here for a reason I fell asleep.
"Bea?" I suddenly heard someone say. My eyes flew open. Oh shit. How much time has passed? "Oh, Heja.. Anathea." I said. "Hello there." "What the fuck are you doing here?" Anathea asked me, surprised and a tinge of concern. She was sitting on the one and only spider donkey. "Just chilling." I said casually. "You guys, though. You followed the spider donkey and now you're here."
Anathea nodded to Heja. "She can answer it for you." "I followed it on impulse." Heja said, her face turning red. "I kinda lost the others." She added.
"So did I." Thea said as she climbed off the donkey. Considering his facial expression, Heja did not like that. I pulled out the small string again. "Time to find the others then, I guess."
"What's that?" Heja asked. "Something I got from my mom. Helps me navigate through this monstrosity." I said as I started walking, seeing the 'strings' in the air that lead me to the others. "How far away are we from the rest?"
"That's a question I can't answer for sure."
I continued walking. An hour or so later, maybe two we reached the others. "Bea?!" Margo immediately said. "What the heck are you doing here?"
Then the group noticed the spider donkey. "WHAT THE ACTUAL FU-" "Spider donkey." Heja cut Theo off. "What?" "Spider donkey. My.. pet, I guess?"
"Long story short:" I started, "I followed you and I know how to navigate. I could get you to the lotus casino within now and... 2 hours, if the labyrinth is nice to me. We should be there then.. in a max of 14:00."
"If the labyrinth is wha-" Fenris cut himself off. "I just, leave that. Just get us to the destination of our quest."
I guess the impact this quest had really had an impact on the questers themselves. Their minds radiated stress, fear, anxiety of what would happen, no clear thoughts. It was a mess. It took me some effort to not just give in to my powers working and giving me more info than I can handle.
"There's no time to loose then." I said as I started walking.
A/N: Here are some of the talks that happened over the course of 2 hours of walking.
___
Walking for half an hour with 6 adhd people is almost boring. You zone out, and in Theo's case you stumble over literally nothing and fall. "Theo!" Margo said about a millisecond before his face hit the ground. She quickly helped the demigod back on his feet again. Theo rubbed his nose, which had started bleeding
