CHAPTER 10: PROPHECIES AND QUESTS AND STUFF
Percy's POV
There's something with a hellhound Luke kills.
Percy sleeps in the Poseidon cabin for this first time. At breakfast Anathea joins him, breaking the rules. Anathea has a fuck it demeanor about that rule. Grover joins the two as well as the rule doesn't cover Satyrs.
Percy gets called to Mr. D and Chiron. He's done nothing wrong. Right? Anathea goes with him.
Mr. D and Chiron explain how Percy's the son of the Big Three, but wasn't supposed to be born since he wasn't 'announced'. It's explained to Percy how everything from Greek Mythology is real. The Lightning Bolt of Zeus has been stolen, and now Percy has to retrieve it from Hades and go to Zeus to prove his innocence. He and Anathea then get sent to the attic where they get a prophecy.
You shall go west and face the god who has turned
You shall find what is stolen and see it safely returned
You shall be betrayed by the one who calls you a friend
And you shall fail to save what matters most in the end
They wonder what the prophecy is about. Chiron states a quest has to be done. Anathea says she can't go, as Heja's still in the infirmary and she'd never leave her best friend behind. Chiron says Annabeth might be a good volunteer. Grover as well, so it's set.
Bea gets low after Silke gives another pegasi riding lesson. We learn stuff about Bea's diabetes. As Silke leaves she gets stopped by Theo and Fenris. Turns out they want her as their third quester. Ichneutae and a few demigods he's been protecting have mysteriously ended up in Alaska, and as it is beyond the gods a quests needs to be done to get them back.
