Nolan: so what's going on?
Lucy: what do you mean?
Nolan: I mean why did me and Bailey take you to the hospital
Lucy: just to make sure I'm good. I mean it was unusual that I puked at a crime scene, so I just needed someone to take me to get checked out. They said it was just food poisoning and then I was good to go
Nolan: I know your pregnant
Lucy: hm? I'm not pregnant
Nolan: Tim told me
Lucy: when?
Nolan: yesterday
Lucy: 7-Adam-19 to 7-Adam-20 can you talk on a private channel?
Tim: 7- Adam- 20- copy
Nyla and Angela hop on the channel too
Tim: what's going on?
Lucy: Nolan, tel him what you told me
Nolan: I said that you told me that you and Lucy are pregnant
Tim: so here's the thing
Lucy: seriously Tim?
Tim: what you told Nyla and Angela?
Lucy: yeah because you had me take a desk job for the day and I was experiencing some symptoms of being pregnant
Tim: I wanted some advice. I did go into the conversation hypothetically
Lucy: yeah like that helps
Tamara: so now that everybody knows
Lucy: not everybody
Nyla; who doesn't by now?
Lucy: Aaron and Juarez
Nolan: well celinas out for the week due to the flu
Angela: we're gonna hop off since the other person is walking over here now
Aaron looks around
Lucy: ok
Angela and Nyla hop off the channel
Lucy: so you just decided to tell Nolan out of the blue for some advice?
Tim: he's a dad
Lucy: yeah for a while now. The times have changed, no offense Nolan
Nolan: still hurts even when you say no offense
Tim; we'll I didn't really think about that at the time
Lucy: and he wasn't a cop when he became a dad, or taking care of a dog and teenager.
Tim: I just thought he could provide some insight on how to not mess it up
Lucy: I'll talk with you later
Lucy gets off the channel
Nolan: are you that mad for him talking to me, or is it just because he didn't ask you?
Lucy: the circumstances are different. I mean I didn't go asking for advice from Angela and Nyla
Nolan: you still told them
Lucy: Nyla found out because Tamara showed up with the test and she's the one who covered for me to go home while she took over the crime scene. And Angela knew because she could tell something was off between me and Tim
Nolan: what was off?
Lucy: wow guys really don't pay attention
Nolan: no we don't. So?
Lucy: he was just treating me like I'm fragile. And I think I've proven that I'm not
Nolan: nobody thinks that your fragile
Lucy: him and Tamara have just been treating me like I could break at any time
Nolan: we'll have you told sergeant grey yet?
Lucy: no. I've been too busy telling all of you guys
Nolan: well you might want to before Tim does
Lucy: yeah.
They go respond to a crime and the firefighters are there
Lucy: oh hey Bailey
Bailey: hey Lucy. Hey John
Nolan: hey bails
Lucy; so what happened? Wait, I'm gonna go sit in the shop and you can tell Nolan
Bailey; ok
Lucy goes to sit in the shop
Bailey: what's up with Lucy?
Nolan: her stomachs just a little sensitive lately. So what happened?
Bailey: we have to wait for the arson investigator to arrive to tell for sure. But we found two bodies. They were Daniel and hailey sanders
Nolan: is there any connection with them to this house?
Bailey: they lived here
Nolan: so we might just have a serial killer on the loose
Bailey: two now. You guys already have Harry vasco
Nolan: are you sure it's not him?
Bailey: the methods are very different. I mean Harry just shoots and leaves them there to die, this one likes to see them suffer before he leaves and leaves them to die
Nolan: I guess we all need to watch our backs
Bailey: yes. Now I'd recommended getting back on the streets before Lucy pukes
Nolan: yeah we should probably get back. I'll se you at home, love you
Bailey: I love you too
Nolan heads back to the shop
Nolan: do you need me to drive?
Lucy: no I got it
Nolan; ok
They head back to the station
Angela: what's going on?
Lucy slams the pictures of the victims on the desk
Nolan: we've got another killer
Tamara: seriously?
Lucy: yep. We don't know their type yet since this appears to be the first hit
Nyla: how do we know these cases aren't connected?
Tamara: I mean our guy just shoots them. I mean their fatal shots though. The first two guys didn't make it out of surgery
Lucy sits down
Angela: you ok?
Lucy: yeah I'm good
Tamara looks at her
Lucy; seriously, I'm good. There's not enough evidence at the crime scene to figure out who the killer is
Nolan: they didn't leave any tracks behind. I mean the only thing we have is that they wanted to kill the sanders
Tamara: wait
Lucy: what?
Tamara: there are a couple of kids on the street that I knew that hated the sanders. I mean they always thought they were just snobby rich people. Which didn't pan that far out from the truth. They were generationally wealthy
Lucy: did these kids hate anyone else?
Tamara: no. I mean they can't be responsible for this. They got off the streets before I did. They don't have the motivation to kill the sanders
Nolan: ok. Why don't we pull up their phone receipts? We could probably get some suspects through their phones
Lucy: let's try it
They run their names through social media and go through their phones and find nothing
Angela: how do they not have a single trace on the internet?
Tamara: it's sorta like they never existed
Lucy: that's it
Tamara: what?
Lucy; Nolan, do you remember that case with the German spies?
Nolan: yeah
Lucy: think about it. I mean they might be from a foreign country and are in the CIA or something
Nolan: yeah and I got restricted when I ran their thumb prints through the system
Nyla: so where does this lead us?
They all look at Lucy
Lucy: I don't know. It could be a clue though
Nyla: let's look into it

A week passes by of them working this case. Lucy's anemia starts to be more noticeable. They haven't caught the shooter either
Tamara: does it usually take you guys this long to work a case?
Angela: not really. Some cases take long because of the lack of evidence. I mean take a look at Elijah stones case. That took months
Tamara: yeah it seemed like it took a while. I just wanna catch this son of a bitch
Lucy walks back from the bathroom
Tamara: you good?
Lucy: morning sickness is just hitting a little harder today
Nyla: you can always just go home Chen
Lucy: I'm good. I'll be fine today
Angela: ok, it was just a friendly reminder. Have you told grey yet?
Lucy: no. It'll be fine
Tamara: I can tell your not fine Luc
Lucy: I'll be fine. I am gonna head to roll call
Tamara: I'll come with
Angela: we should all probably just go
They head to roll call
Grey; first things first. We are still working on the Harry vasco case since he has gotten to a target we weren't able to track down on time. Secondly, Chen, your going to stick with the detectives until further notice. Lastly, officer Juarez is still gone so Thorsen and Nolan will be riding together today
Aaron: yes sir
Grey: you are dismissed. Chen, I wanna see you in my office
Lucy: yes sir
They all leave roll call. Lucy and Grey meet up in his office. He sits down at his desk and gestures for Lucy to sit down so she does
Grey: you've been off this past week or two. What's going on?
Lucy: I'm good sir. Nothing serious
Grey: there have been rumors going around, but I do wanna hear from you what's going on
Lucy: may i ask what the rumors are?
Grey: Chen
Lucy: fine, fine. I'm pregnant
Grey: congratulations
Lucy: I have a feeling that a but is coming on
Grey: is there anything else you'd want to share with me?
Lucy: so I had my blood screened a week ago
Grey: and?
Lucy: I have iron deficiency anemia
Grey: what is that?
Lucy: basically, I don't have enough red blood cells which makes it harder for my blood to carry oxygen or iron
Grey: is there anything I need to worry about?
Lucy: some symptoms are fatigue, vertigo or dizziness, labored breathing, or trouble concentrating
Grey: what are the risks of you being on patrol with it?
Lucy; the chance of me dying is higher since I'm pregnant, but there's no indirect risk of me dying
Grey: that's great. Is that all?
Lucy: well it's Tim's if you couldn't tell
Grey: I figured that out. Just let me know if you need a break or anything
Lucy: ok
Grey; you can go now
Lucy: thanks sergeant
Lucy leaves his office and heads over to Tamara and them
Tamara : what was that about?
Lucy: he just wanted to know what was going on with me so I told him
Tamara: you told him all of it? Including, you know?
Lucy: yes. I told him all of it
Nyla: what's this part that we don't know about?
Angela: does it explain why your pregnancy is definitely different than either of ours?
Lucy: yes
Tamara: I thought you guys knew
Nyla: knew what?
Lucy: I have iron deficiency anemia
Angela: what's that?
Nyla: wait I think I heard about that. It's when you don't have enough red blood cells to do something
Lucy: I don't have enough red blood cells to carry oxygen or iron, which is what both me and the baby need. So the doctor gave me iron supplements
Tamara: that you haven't been taking like you should
Nyla: Chen, that's serious
Lucy; I take them often enough
Angela: that could seriously harm both you and the baby
Lucy: I know
Angela: we should get to work
Lucy: yeah
Lucy sits down and they get to work
