If you are not willing to risk it all for the unusual, you'll just have to settle for the ordinary.
"I'm a McCall, I don't do ordinary."
"Trust me, I know."

⚠️T...
It was late, and the oldest Hale had just gotten back into Beacon Hills.
Word had gotten to Laura that a new werewolf was in town, and it was causing trouble.
Thinking of what she could use to her advantage, a name popped up in her head that she hadn't thought of in a few years. Sawyer.
Remembering where the McCall girl lived before, Laura knocked on the door, seeing that a light was on in the living room. An older woman, close to her own mothers age had opened the door, and Laura knew she had the right place. Melissa McCall stood in front of her. She remembered Melissa picking Sawyer up when she was a baby.
"Laura? Is that you?" The woman spoke. "Hey Mel." "It's been ages! How have you been?" Melissa asked as she looked over the girl. She hadn't changed a whole bunch, mainly just aged. "Pretty good. I actually came by to see if Sawyer was home. I know we left on bad terms, but I was in town." Laura smiled hesitantly.
The werewolf did worry about how Sawyer would react to her. With Derek and herself leaving so abruptly, they didn't have time to say goodby to the girl. By the faltering smile on Melissa's face, Laura thought her chances of being able to ask for the girl's help was dwindling.
"Um, I can give you her address. She lives across town in an apartment. I will warn you she is not how she used to be." Melissa warned. "How's that?" Laura asked.
"Sawyer thought she was going crazy, hearing things, feeling things that weren't there. She snapped. When she finally decided to get help, we were worried it was too late. She spent about a year in Eichen House. They have her on these meds that are supposed to help but I really don't think they are. If you can help Laura, I would really appreciate it. Maybe seeing you will be enough." Melissa smiled. "I hope so. I really hate to run Mel, but I do have to go. I'll stop by again if I can." Laura said with a wave.

Finding her way to the apartment, Laura knocked. Soft footsteps came to the door and behind it stood Sawyer, but not one she was expecting.
This Sawyer had hollow brown eyes, the dark circles beneath them that even concerned the werewolf. "Sawyer?" Laura asked shocked. "Laura?" The girl asked surprised, though it didn't show, bringing her into a hug.
"How have you been?" Sawyer asked as both girls backed out of the hug. "Not bad, traveling." "Why are you back?" Sawyer asked. "I needed to ask if you had heard anything? There is a new wolf around Beacon Hills causing problems. I came to check it out, but I wanted to stop by and check on you." Laura cautiously said.
"I'm sorry Laura, I can't help you. I've been out of the loop with that stuff for a while now. Got new drugs and everything." Sawyer smiled lightly, not even grasping the conversation all the way. "Your mom told me you went to Eichen. Why did you go there?" Laura asked.
This got Sawyer's attention, hating that she even had to ask. "Why? Because I was going out of my mind! Every time I would hear a voice in my head, my ears would bleed; it would be so loud. I was ripping hair from my scalp, having panic attacks, and screaming episodes. I could feel everything around me all the time. I just wanted to make it go away, and I did. I'm sorry, I'd love to help, but I can't." Sawyer said her eyes burning with an unsettled feeling of anger for the girl in front of her.
"Sawyer, that ability doesn't just go away." Laura stated. "You were supposed to help me, then you ran. So I took it into my own hands. It all went away. Doc hooked me up with some nice pills." Sawyer snapped at the wolf, as Laura breathed through her nose, calming herself down. "Okay, just if you do hear something, let me know?" Laura asked, handing Sawyer a card with her phone number on it. "Don't get your hopes up." Sawyer told her before closing the door.

Laura made it back out to her car before pulling out her phone. The Sawyer she saw tonight was not the girl she grew up around and she knew the girl would be a shock to her brother. Scrolling through, she found the number she needed.
Listening to it ring, the person picked up. "Laura? Did you find it?" "Derek, I need your help." "With the wolf?" "No, with Sawyer. She's not well Derek. If we have any chance of finding this wolf, we are going to need her."
"How bad is she?" Derek asked, concerned for his friend. "Derek, she spent a year in Eichen." "Why in the hell would she do that?" Derek asked, upset, he had heard horror stories. "Because we left, and she had no other option. Mom said she needed to be trained, and I didn't." "You didn't know how." Derek tried to explain to his sister, but she wasn't having it. "I'm sure I could have found something." Laura growled out. "I'll head out tonight." Derek said as he hung up.

Sawyer walked through her apartment in a haze. Her eyes seemed to have a glossy white look to them as she entered a back room.

Its walls were filled with papers that had been collected over the past week or so.

Written thousands and thousands of times. She seemed to glance around, her eyes not truly focusing on any particular thing.
A buzzing filtered through her head. Sawyer grunted as the pain became almost unbearable. Then she heard it. Grabbing her paper and her pen, Sawyer scribbled, once again it being a mantra of words.

SAVE HER
"Save who?" Sawyer cried out as blood dripped from her eyes onto the paper, as a name was whispered.
Laura Hale.

And as the medication worked, it seemed like as soon as Sawyer got the message, the fog-like state crept in again, sending the same glassy gleam to her eyes as she left the room, never realizing she heard or wrote anything at all.
A/N: Was the first chapter what anyone thought it would be? I thought it was a cool way to get some Laura action in there before she died. And what about these mysterious pills she is on? Let me know what you think in the comments.
