Melissa took off from the stands, car keys in her hand as she didn't even wait to talk to Scott. Ever sense Sawyer had went to Peter's room to hide, Melissa was worried something would happen, and her intuition was right.

Peeling out of the parking lot, she sped to the hospital, parking in her usual spot, she ran in, flashing her badge. "Where's my daughter?" Melissa said as she walked into the room where Sawyer was last to see it empty. "Mel-" "Where's Sawyer?" She asked again. "She wouldn't calm down until we took her to him. We tried to tell her we couldn't, but she was throwing a fit. Crying, screaming. We moved her in his room with soft restraints." The nurse told her.

Storming off she headed towards Peter's room she stopped before she opened the door. Sawyers soft voice was the most calm she had heard it in months as she talked the unconscious man. "It was close Pete, but he did what I told him to. He made the shot."

A sadness fell on Melissa on how Sawyer didn't actually get to see her brother make the shot, but somehow she always knew.

Knocking, Melissa opened the door. "Hi baby." She said and Sawyer turned her head to look at her. "Hi mom." "How ya feelin?" Melissa asked, placing her hand on her forehead like as did when the two were children. "Tired." Sawyer said as she yawned.

Melissa smiled, then furrowed her eyebrows as she remembered why she was in room 215. "Why were you asking for Peter?" Melissa asked her daughter. "He wanted to see me." Sawyer stated, but Melissa frowned. "Sawyer-" "I'm telling the truth mom. I heard him. I saw Scott's game too." "Now stop being foolish." "He scored. The final point three seconds till, and won 6-5." Sawyer told her mother and Melissa's head spun. "How?" "I don't know. Just like I don't know how Peter reached out to me, but I would like to."

Before Melissa could say anything, the door opened and in stepped Derek Hale. "Derek?" Sawyer asked, leaning up to look at the man who had entered." "The Sheriff told me that Melissa ran off after a phone call. I figured it had something to do with you. I came as fast as I could." Derek told the two and the two women had smiles on their faces. "When did you get out?" Melissa asked and Derek looked down. "I kind of ran out of the sheriffs department after they let me go." "Good lord, Hale." Melissa told him, bringing the werewolf into a hug, the Hale accepting it. "I told you he's crazy mom." Sawyer said as another yawn came from her. "Only for you Sully." Derek smiled slightly, and Melissa smiled.

"Oh I forgot to tell you, Allison's father asked about you. You must have left a good impression." Melissa said and Derek's head snapped to the mother. "Chris Argent?" He asked. "I actually don't know a name." Melissa said, "Allison just called him dad." "He's bad news." Derek told the girls, mainly looking at Sawyer, but she looked at her mother. "Was he cute?" "A little old for you I think." Melissa told her in her motherly tone, but Sawyer just brushed her off.

"Seriously Sully, he's bad news." Derek hold her and this time she turned to look at him. "I know." She told him. "Just because I asked if he was cute didn't mean I was going to marry the dude." Sawyer told him. "Sawyer!" Melissa chassed. "No, Mel, she's right." Derek said as he moved closer to Sawyer. "We'll talk about this later." He whispered. "At least give me a hug if your gonna come this close." Sawyer told him and he smiled, leaning down, hugging her.

"I've unfortunately got to get going. I've got someone I have to talk to, but Ill stop by soon, okay?" Derek asked and Sawyer nodded. "Okay superman, go be a hero." She told him and he groaned. "You've got yo let that go." "Nope." She laughed and Melissa chuckled.

As Derek left the room, Melissa's eyes flitted back over to the man in the bed, and how Derek never once looked over at him. It pained her to see the boy she cared for like another son in so much pain, but she understood it as well. Looking back over to her daughter a smile came to her face as she thought of the boy who just left. "I never understood why you two never dated?" Melissa said and Sawyer's face screwed up in disgust. "Ew Mom, He's like my brother. It would be like dating Scott." "Okay, okay." Melissa laughed as she patted her leg.

"I'm gonna go see what I can do about the restraints okay. You don't seem to be a danger to yourself or anyone else." Melissa told her as she headed to the door, and out to the nurses desk.

As soon as Melissa was out of sight Sawyer's eyes were on Peter. "You promised you would tell me what was happening to me. I need you to hurry up and get better, because I don't know how much longer I can do this." Sawyer told him as his eyes opened and looked at her, put they held pain and suffering instead of the strength she was used to seeing. "What can I do?" Sawyer asked him and it was quiet in the room but a voice was heard in her head just like how she had heard while in her coma like state. "Stop her."
