I arrived at work late the next morning. Mrs. Rivers was not happy at all. She told me off, going on about how irresponsible I was and taking her kindness for granted. I really wanted to tell her about how her daughter was the epitome of ungrateful but thankfully I held my tongue.

I tried to explain to her why I was late but white people didn't really care about load shedding and the pipes bursting in the township. She told me that I should stop making excuses and take responsibility.
I don't know if I was taking responsibility for the load shedding or the pipes but I apologized and told her it wouldn't happen again.

And then that little snot of her daughter came home looking like she had been hit by a ton of trucks. She probably went out and got pissed drunk and slept somewhere. Not only did she not get a 'responsibility' lecture but she was nursed by her mother. I rolled my eyes at them and continued with my job.

By the end of my day, I was so exhausted I just wanted to get home and sleep. Unfortunately, luck is an enigma in my life. My boss decided that it was okay to make me go take her dress from the dry cleaner. All I wanted to do was just flip her off and tell her to get it herself but no, here I was in front of the dry cleaner with a white slip.

I went inside and greeted the lady behind the counter. She looked to be having just as bad of a day as I was, I felt her pain though. "Dry cleaning for Mrs. Rivers, a white dress" I showed her the slip. She stared at it and disappeared behind a door to probably go check the dress.

As I waited patiently, another customer came inside the store. It was a woman, she was wearing a fitted dress with high heels, holy shit. She was beautiful and elegant. Flawless skin, well she had makeup on so I couldn't really tell. Curves in just the right places and a walk out of a runway show.

"If you done staring, I would appreciate it if you did your job and got me my dress." she sassed.

My mouth gaped at her assumption. She probably thought I was a worker there, which was rude. Did I look like I was?

"Oh, I'm no-"

I tried to explain but she cut me short with a wave of her perfectly manicured fingers.
"Look, I have important places to go and more important people to see, so can you stop already." I quirked my eyebrow at her. This lady had some nerve.

"Nozi, what's taking so long, I have a meeting-"

A deep, commanding, and absolutely alluring voice vibrated through the whole room. My breath caught up in my windpipes. It was that man, the one I had saved, well I think I saved him. He looked so different from what I had seen yesterday. He was bigger, taller and damn I say handsome.

"It's you!" I pointed at him. He directed his gaze from the rude woman to mine. He seemed to try and recollect if he knew me from somewhere. I was hoping he did, I mean I did save him, a thank you would be nice.

"Do I know you?" damn his voice was deep, like so husky and it demanded attention. I gulped, trying to find words to get him to remember me but then I thought otherwise.

How was he supposed to remember me? He was unconscious you idiot. He didn't even see my face.

It was okay if he didn't remember me, at least he was fine now. He looked healthy as well.
I gave a small smile and turned around just in time for the lady who worked here to come back with my boss' dress. I thanked her and made a beeline for the door.

The rude lady was talking to the worker as I made eye contact with the man before taking my leave. I took out my phone and requested an Uber. I stood under a shelter as I waited for my Uber. It was raining and it didn't seem like it was stopping soon I didn't even have my umbrella because when I left it didn't look like it was going to rain, just my nonexistent luck.

I felt a tap on my shoulder, turning around startled, I was met with a broad chest and a white dress shirt. I looked up and found the man from the dry cleaner looking at me. I cleared my throat.

"I wanted to thank you for what you did yesterday," He said. I gaped at him.

But how did he know it was me?

"How did-"

"Social media." how did this guy speak with little to no emotions? He was just stoically standing there.

"Right, there were a lot of people taking videos." I chuckled. "Well, I'm glad you're okay, I have to go now, my ride is here." I smiled at him.

He didn't say anything, just stood there and looked at me, he was starting to make me feel nervous. I left him there and made my way to the car.

That was weird.

"I'm going out tonight, can I borrow that baggy white shirt of yours?" Azola stood in front of the bed looking at me expectedly. I knew she was going to take it either way so I nodded.

"Where are you going?" I tried to make small talk with her. A few minutes passed before she spoke.

"Out. Don't wait for me, won't be back till tomorrow late," she said and got dressed before sneaking out.

I didn't even get the point of her sneaking out because it's not like our parents cared what she did anyway. I doubt they even remember their second-born child called Azola. I sighed in contentment at the free room. I always loved the outings she took because it meant that I was free to have the room all to myself.

I laid back and took out my phone. I mindlessly scrolled through my Facebook. My fingers halted when I saw a particular video.

What made my heart stop for a few seconds was the caption. In bold...

WOMAN SAVES THE PRINCE OF KWA-ZULU NATAL!!

Then a video of ME crouched down and helping that man appeared. I quickly sat up before I choked on my spit and died. What. The. Fuck!?

There was no way that the man I saved yesterday and bumped into at the dry cleaner was a whole prince. A royalty!

And oh God I was trending!!
